Building on 15 years of experience as a ski-room manager in some of Megève’s most luxurious 4 and 5* hotels, freestyle skiing champion Richard Gay is opening a new shop. Opening at the former Barthoux Gallery site in the heart of the village this October, Gay’s shop will be full of specialised ski equipment, with no less than 18 ski boot models and will provide a bespoke boot-fitting service for skiers looking for extra comfort and control. Driven by his passion for technical equipment, Gay will offer personalised advice to ensure his customers benefit from the expertise of a champion. This weekend-long event starting on 31 January 2026 now blends a passion for cars with a commitment to support vulnerable children. - The Back to Back invitational returns to Megève this March. From the 20 to 22 March 2026, Back to Back Invitational, Megève’s premier backcountry event, combining sport, music and culture, is returning for its sixth edition. This free festival is an inclusive festival for everyone, from riders to spectators. Expect to see elite athletes showcasing their skills in a medley of mogul, speed riding, ski base jumping and backcountry skiing events. Free and inclusive, this festival invites everyone to enjoy live coverage at the pedestrian-friendly Côte 2000, and dance to the live music at Palais concert hall in the evenings.

With just 14 seats, this intimate restaurant serves contemporary French cuisine rooted in the Alps, where the dishes are prepared before your eyes. Guided by the seasons, Renaut’s own kitchen garden supplies fresh wild herbs, local vegetables and flowers, created dishes rooted in Alpine nature. - Culinary stars align: Two Michelin-Starred chefs collaborate in Megève this winter. Two generations of Michelin-starred chefs will collaborate this winter to offer a new take on alpine gastronomy. Savoie chef Marc Veyrat and rising Parisian star Mallory Gabsi have curated 10 Alpine dishes driven by creativity, passion and a deep respect for mountain ingredients. - An intimate British hideaway in Megève. In the heart of Megève, the fully reimagined Hôtel Saint-Georges, formerly Chalet Saint-Georges, will be unveiled this December, marking the arrival of the luxury Chapitre Six hotel group in the Alps. Redesigned by British artist Luke Edward Hall, the hotel combines sculpted woodwork, mountain murals, bold wallpapers, and vintage finds to create a five* refuge made of 29 rooms and 6 suites, most with balconies overlooking the steeple or surrounding peaks.
