Mayrhofen: New SkyRide Ahorn Opens

On the new SkyRide Ahorn, guests enjoy an extraordinary open-air gondola experience on the roof of the Ahornbahn—Austria's largest aerial tramway—with panoramic views of the impressive Zillertal mountains. Accompanied by fresh mountain air and a feeling of lightness normally reserved for birds, up to 30 people per ride glide toward the Ahorn plateau.
This exclusive experience is available as an upgrade to regular fares and ensures unforgettable holiday moments even during the ascent. Once you reach the Ahorn Plateau, a hike leads to the next attraction: the new Greifen Bridge – over 70 meters long and suspended high above Mayrhofen, it promises impressive perspectives.
Once at the top, a wide network of extensive hiking and themed trails awaits all hiking enthusiasts. So where to start? NEW: There's probably no other themed trail that offers a better way to experience the Ahorn in all its glory than the new AlbertAdler Adventure Trail, complete with its impressive viewing platforms! It starts at the AdlerAuge viewing platform – with spectacular bird's-eye views. From there, the circular trail stretches across the entire Ahorn plateau and playfully guides young and old through the AlbertAdler adventure world at numerous interactive stations.
The final part of the trail pulls out all the stops: hike the FalkenSteig and marvel at the magnificent views from the over 70-meter-long GreifenBrücke, which hovers freely above Mayrhofen. Or perhaps you're aiming for the summit? The Filzenkogel hiking trail not only provides hikers with a unique summit experience at 2,227 meters, but also with incomparable vantage points overlooking the idyllic Stillup Valley and the mighty Zillertal Alps. Impressive and inspiring at the same time! Furthermore, the Ahorn is the gateway to the Zillertal Alps Nature Park and provides direct access to a diverse hiking area with seemingly endless options.
