2019 Mammut New Technology Preview:

Mammut Georganic 3D Technology

Mamut’s new Courmayeur SO Pant is designed to move with the body. The combination of a geometric-dynamic design with cuts tailored organically to the body. Movement patterns and postures are shaped directly on the body and developed into a three-dimensional cut. This is the basis of concepts such as Mammut's High Reach Technology, which is tailored specifically to climbing movements. Georganic is also employed in the Mammut Eiger Extreme collection, and the technology will be found in more and more Mammut products in the future.

Mammut Flextron Technology

Mammut’s Ducan shoe line employs Flextron technology. The Ducan Knit High is pictured above. Flextron TechnologyTM creates a barefoot feeling that supports the foot’s natural anatomy and relieves pressure. The core of the technology is a spring-steel sole integrated in the midsole and placed directly upon the insole. Its longitudinal flexibility supports the correct rolling behavior of the foot. The sole’s lateral stability prevents pressure on the arch of the foot. This promotes an anatomically correct foot position, as well as a better posture – for more natural movements and more efficient use of energy.

Mammut Active Spine Technology

Active Spine Technology is offered in Mammut’s Trion series packs. When walking, the shoulders tilt to a similar degree as the hips, but in the opposite direction. For Mammut, this biomechanical principle was the starting point for developing the flexible back system of the innovative and patented Active Spine Technology. This technology transfers the weight of a backpack evenly to the body when walking. It gives the wearer greater freedom of movement for the hips and shoulders and avoids unpleasant friction, consequenting in greater comfort, particularly noticeable on steep ascents.

Mammut Connect

Mammut Connect is featured in the Nordwand Advanced HS Hooded Jacket, part of Mammut’s SS19 Eiger Extreme Collection.

Mammut is launching a solution designed to support retailers with the sales process through a range of interactive services. Mammut Connect allows consumers to link up to the Mammut Connect world and become part of a community of outdoor enthusiasts. Mammut uses a Connect chip with NFC technology integrated in the product (for example, a jacket) to bring consumers access to information and services relating to their Mammut products and their use. The “Near Field Communication” (NFC) technology allows wireless connection of a passive, battery-free chip to a reading device - a smartphone, for example. Consumers simply need to scan the Mammut Connect chip using an NFC-enabled device to step into the Mammut Connect world.

The new technologies are integrated into the full span of the Mammut SS19 collections, from packs and jackets to shoes and accessories, for Eiger Extreme, Mammut Delta X and Mammut SS19.
