Mammoth Claims Best Snow Conditions In The US

Mammoth Lakes has seen 43 inches of fresh snow fall over the past several weeks, with 177 of 180 trails on the mountain now open, Mammoth Mountain currently boasts some of the best snow conditions in the US. The newly opened Limelight hotel also marks an exciting ‘25/’26 season for California’s most iconic resort.
So far in the '25/'26 season, Mammoth Mountain has received a snow total of 156 inches and currently has a base depth of 62 inches. Clearer weather is expected in the coming week so visitors will be able to get out and enjoy blue bird days on the fresh powder.
Mammoth mountain is California’s highest chairlift service peak and often sees incredible snow conditions, on average around 400 inches every season, allowing the season to extend into the summer months, so visitors have plenty of time to get out and enjoy what Mammoth has to offer. With four base lodges, 150 named trails, 11 terrain parks and 3,500 acres of skiable terrain, the mountain is an endless source of adventure for skiers and boarders.
Skiers and boarders who prefer a half pipe to a groomed black diamond will definitely enjoy what Mammoth has to offer, with 10 terrain parks covering 100 acres, all now open to enjoy. Mammoth Mountain’s Terrain Parks suit skiers and riders of all abilities, and feature progressions from beginner features on easy runs to advanced jumps, rails, and half pipes. The eleven parks across the resort host 126 rails, boxes and jibs; 95 jumps and three half pipes ranging in size from 12 feet to 18 feet to the 22-foot, Olympic-sized SuperPipe making it the ultimate park for skiers and snowboarders to practise and perfect their skills.
This season the village welcomes a very exciting addition in the brand-new hotel Limelight Mammoth. The luxury accommodation will feature 149 hotel rooms and 15 luxury residences, as well as a restaurant, lounge, and club all within easy walking distance of the slopes at Mammoth Mountain at the junction of Canyon Boulevard and Lake Mary Road.
