Les Gets To Open Early

Les Gets will open this weekend (December 4-5) for skiing and snowboarding following heavy early snowfall. The area was due to officially fully open on December 18, but because of the exceptional conditions, combined with the desire to get back onto the slopes following the lift closure of last winter, the resort decided to open now.

On Saturday December 4, there will be a torchlight descent by local Les Gets ESF instructors, taking place at 5.30pm on the Boule de Gomme slope.

A day lift pass will cost €15 (flat rate for child/adult). The Chavannes central cash desk will be open at the following times:

  • Thursday 2 December (2-5pm)
  • Friday 3 December (9am-5pm)
  • Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December (9am-4.30pm)

A number of ski lifts will be operating, including: Chavannes gondola, La Croix chairlift, Nauchets chairlift, Mouille au Roy ski lift, Ball de Gomme ski lift and the beginner's carpet at Chavannes.

  • The French ‘Pass Sanitaire’ (health pass) will be required to access the lifts. Anyone that is fully vaccinated can qualify for the Pass Sanitaire. For those that are not fully vaccinated, a negative Covid test will be required within 24 hours. Full information on mask wearing protocol, Pass Sanitaire requirements and Covid testing in Les Gets can be found here: lesgets.com/covid-19
  • The main entry airport for Les Gets is Geneva, Switzerland (around a one hour drive). Currently in Switzerland all fully vaccinated UK arrivals will need to show a negative Covid-19 test (PCR or Antigen) within 48 hours and will need to quarantine for 10 days. If transiting into France directly within a 24 hour period, the quarantine is not required.
