Les 2 Alpes To Open From November 29, 2025 To August 30th 2026! A 9 Month Season

In Les 2 Alpes, dynamism is born from a shared commitment between resort stakeholders, professionals, and residents, who join forces to bring life to an attractive and inspiring area. Together, they are shaping a modern and authentic mountain, capable of adapting to today's climate challenges and expectations. With its high-altitude peaks, renewed infrastructure, and the Jandri cable car (December 2024), the resort extends the experience 9 months out of 12 and affirms its "4 seasons" vision, combining skiing, mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and other leisure activities. Les 2 Alpes is a mountain in motion, modern and sustainable where innovation meets authenticity, to live 9 months of unique experiences.

Les 2 Alpes is truly inventing the endless season! With the highest ski area in France (1300 m – 3600 m), Les 2 Alpes is establishing itself as the visionary destination where winter never stops. The winter season begins on November 29, 2025 and runs until May 3, 2026, followed by spring skiing until the beginning of July, then a summer rich in outdoor activities (mountain biking, hiking, trail running, paragliding, wellness, gastronomy) until August 30. Finally, as a bonus: autumn opening from October 18 to November 2, 2025 to extend summer in Oisans (mountain biking, hiking, trail running, cycling, etc.).

From Saturday 29 November 2025 to Sunday 3 May 2026, Les 2 Alpes welcomes skiers and boarders on its ski area between 3,600m and 1,300m. With 220km of slopes, and 75% of the ski area above 2,000m, quality skiing is guaranteed!

Les 2 Alpes is one of the only resorts where skiing doesn’t stop at the end of the winter. The high-altitude area between 3,400m and 2,600m stay open for skiers and snowboarders from 4 May to 5 July.

New for winter 2025-26

  • Ski Safe Team: a team of 77 ski patrollers keeps the slopes safe and educates skiers every day. Known as the Ski Safe Team, these patrollers are stationed throughout the ski area to offer friendly advice. Their goal is to help skiers have a more relaxed and responsible experience on the mountain.
  • La Balade du Jandri is a new scenic area along the Jandri blue run. Located between 3,200m and 2,800m altitude, this area is designed for skiers who want to take their time and enjoy the spectacular mountain views.
  • This winter, two new magic carpets have been added at the first stop of the Jandri at 2,600 (tapis Express and tapis Grand Plan) so skiers can easily access the Chalet de la Toura restaurant and the Toura ski area.
  • To make sure that beginners have good snow, new learning areas at high altitude are being created: the learning area at 2,100m has been redesigned, there is a new beginner area at 2,600m and SATA, the lift company, plans to create a new one at 3.200m
  • The resort’s swimming pool and ice rink have been completely renovated. Over 5 million euros have been invested to create a modern outdoor pool and an indoor ice rink using an innovative system. The ice rink refrigeration is replaced by a technology that recovers heat to heat the pool.
  • This winter, the Bureau des Guides in Les 2 Alpes is offering two new snowshoe adventures. The first is a high-altitude snowshoe hike at an altitude of 3,200 metres with long vertical drops and breathtaking views. This hike is for sporty people.
  • Two hotels built in the 70s are being renovated for this winter: Le Sherpa and La Belle Etoile. Both will offer cosy alpine charm at an affordable price.
  • The family-run hotel Les Mélèzes has been awarded a 4th star. Les Mélèzes is a cosy hotel with an excellent service. www.hotelmelezes.com/
  • On the slope, the 3,200, the restaurant located at 3,200m accessible by the Jandri, has new owners. The restaurant now has 3 areas: an area for snacking, a self-service and a gourmet restaurant.
  • The food delivery company Heat Delivery will now deliver on the slopes! Choose a picnic sport or an indoor picnic area and enjoy a warm lunch. Heat Delivery cooks with fresh and local produce and uses, sustainable tableware and reusable insulated containers.

Three pillars make up the resort's strength: an exceptional area (220 km of slopes, snow guarantee, international snow park, beginner areas at different altitudes, night skiing, slow skiing, SKI SAFE approach for more peaceful and responsible skiing), modernized infrastructure (new generation Jandri cable car, renovated high-altitude restaurants, premium services) and a diversified four-season offer for families, active people, sports enthusiasts, adventurers, explorers or relaxation lovers.

Traveling to Les 2 Alpes outside of peak periods guarantees lower rates on accommodation and ski passes (December, April, May, June), away from the peaks of Christmas, New Year, and February. The experience is also more serene: less crowded slopes, a more leisurely pace, and smoother skiing. Whether in December or the (extended) spring, the resort offers the best of the mountains almost year-round, without compromising on pleasure or quality.

A festive season kickoff with the 11th edition of the Rise Festival from December 6 to 13, 2025! Every year, nearly 8,000 British festival-goers gather in Les 2 Alpes for a unique week combining snow sports and electronic music. Skiing, snowshoeing, electric mountain biking, yoga, spa… the days are rich in mountain experiences before vibrating each evening to the rhythm of international DJs in a magical and friendly atmosphere.

"Les Lumières de la Muzelle," a flagship winter event, returns on January 17, 2026 for its 13th edition. This nighttime trail on snow, now a must-see, transforms the slopes into a unique playground as soon as they close. Starting in the Vallée Blanche sector (2,100 m), runners choose their challenge: 10, 21, or 42 km, on specially marked and illuminated courses. Between athletic performance and magical experience, the event brings together up to 1,500 participants, both amateurs and experienced, who share the adventure alongside renowned athletes such as Mathieu Blanchard and Yannick Noël, Les 2 Alpes trail ambassadors.
