Les 2 Alpes Opens November 29, 2025 Until August 30, 2026 For A 9 Month Season
In Les 2 Alpes, dynamism stems from a shared commitment between resort stakeholders, professionals, and residents, who join forces to create an attractive and inspiring destination. Together, they are shaping a modern and authentic mountain, capable of adapting to climate challenges and today's expectations.
With its high-altitude peaks, renewed infrastructure, and the Jandri cable car (opening in December 2024), the resort extends the experience nine months out of the year and affirms its "four-season" vision, blending skiing, mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and other leisure activities. Les 2 Alpes is a mountain in motion, modern and sustainable, where innovation meets authenticity, offering nine months of unique experiences.
- Les 2 Alpes is truly inventing the never-ending season! With the highest ski area in France (1300m – 3600m), Les 2 Alpes has established itself as the visionary destination where winter never ends. The winter season begins on November 29, 2025, and runs until May 3, 2026, followed by spring skiing until early July, then a summer packed with outdoor activities (mountain biking, hiking, trail running, paragliding, wellness, gastronomy) until August 30. As a bonus, there's also an autumn opening from October 18 to November 2, 2025, to extend summer in the Oisans region (mountain biking, hiking, trail running, cycling, etc.).
- Three pillars make up the strength of the resort: an exceptional area (220 km of slopes, guaranteed snow, international snowpark, beginner areas at different altitudes, night skiing, slow skiing, SKI SAFE approach for more serene and responsible skiing), modernized infrastructure (new generation Jandri cable car, renovated mountain restaurants, premium services) and a diverse four-season offer for families, active people, sports enthusiasts, adventurers, explorers or those seeking relaxation.
- In Les Deux Alpes, traveling outside of peak season guarantees lower prices on accommodation and lift passes (December, April, May, June), far from the Christmas, New Year's, and February rushes. The experience is also more peaceful: less crowded slopes, a more relaxed pace, and smoother skiing. Whether in December or during the extended spring, the resort offers the best of the mountains almost year-round, without compromising on enjoyment or quality.
- A festive season launch with the 11th edition of the Rise Festival from December 6th to 13th, 2025! Every year, nearly 8,000 British festival-goers gather in Les Deux Alpes for a unique week combining skiing and electronic music. Skiing, snowshoeing, e-mountain biking, yoga, spa treatments… the days are packed with mountain experiences before grooving each evening to the rhythms of international DJs in a magical and friendly atmosphere.
- "Les Lumières de la Muzelle," a flagship winter event, returns on January 17, 2026, for its 13th edition. This now-essential nighttime snow trail transforms the slopes into a unique playground as soon as they close. Starting from the Vallée Blanche area (2100 m), runners choose their challenge: 10, 21, or 42 km, on specially marked and illuminated courses. Combining athletic performance and a magical experience, the event brings together up to 1,500 participants, from amateurs to seasoned runners, who share the adventure alongside renowned athletes such as Mathieu Blanchard and Yannick Noël, trail running ambassadors for Les 2 Alpes.
Les 2 Alpes is in the French department of Isère, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The village sits at 1,650 m (5,413 ft) and lifts run to 3,600 m (11,811 ft). It has the largest skiable glacier in Europe and is France's second oldest ski resort behind Chamonix. It has the longest, normally open full on-piste vertical available in the world. It is a 71 km (44 mi) drive southeast of Grenoble. The famous Off-Piste resort La Grave is also reachable by foot from the top of the glacier.
