Lech Bergbahnen AG Holds Topping-Out Ceremony For The New Staff House

The new team building in Zug was unveiled with a celebratory topping-out ceremony. Due to heavy rain, the host, Lech Bergbahnen AG, moved the celebrations and the traditional topping-out ceremony indoors.

With the construction of the new team house, Lech Bergbahnen AG is setting a precedent for the future. Around 90 percent of its 250 employees require accommodation during the winter. For this reason, the company operates several team houses. 41 modern residential units and an underground parking garage are currently being built in Zug with an investment of €6.4 million. Thanks to the innovative wooden modular construction method, the construction time was significantly shortened, allowing Lech Bergbahnen AG employees to move in for the winter season.

In addition to bright rooms, the building also offers common areas – including a lounge and a fitness room – that are open to all employees.

"This building is an important step, but we're already thinking ahead when it comes to employee housing – together with the municipality and with an eye on additional projects. Even the underground car park is prepared so that future expansions can be easily accommodated," emphasizes Klaus Nußbaumer, CEO of Lech Bergbahnen AG, adding: "Special thanks go to the architectural firm Johannes Kaufmann & Team, which oversaw the planning and submission process, as well as to the general contractor Kaufmann 2 with David Nussbaumer for the precise and timely implementation." These and other companies involved in the construction, as well as the neighbors, attended the topping-out ceremony to witness the installation of the topping-out tree. Even though this couldn't take place as planned due to the heavy rain, it didn't dampen the mood.

At the end of the speech, Father Adrian from Lech offered a prayer and blessed the new building and its future residents. Together, everyone toasted the building, its staff, and good neighborliness.
