Kitzbühel Tourism Draws An Overall Positive Conclusion About The Winter Season.

Kitzbühel Tourism has drawn an overall positive conclusion about the winter season.
After a strong start to the season and a slight decline in overnight stays in February and March 2025, the season developed positively overall – despite a challenging economic environment.
Both overnight stays and arrivals increased compared to the previous year. Arrivals increased by 2.2% and overnight stays by 1.3%. Growth was particularly strong in the months from November 2024 to January 2025 and in April 2025.
The economic situation in Germany is also having an impact on tourism: "In Germany, we are seeing a slight decline of 0.2% in overnight stays. The US market, on the other hand, continues to grow – with an increase of +12.7%. The US is now one of our four most important source markets – after Germany, Austria, and the United Kingdom," says Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser, Managing Director of Kitzbühel Tourism.
The average length of stay remained stable at 3.8 nights. Growth was particularly evident in Israel and Austria. The United Kingdom, however, continues to lose market share slightly.
The actual number of overnight stays is likely even higher, as many overnight stays in private accommodations are not statistically recorded. The outlook for the summer is cautiously optimistic.
