Kingdom Trails Benefit Concert Welcomes Adam Gardner Of Guster & Stephen Kellogg On October 18 At Burke Mountain Hotel

Burke Mountain Resort announced today that it is hosting a limited-ticket concert to benefit the Kingdom Trail Association on Saturday, October 18, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Burke Mountain Hotel. The event will feature live performances by two nationally celebrated musicians: Adam Gardner of the acclaimed alternative rock band Guster, and singer-songwriter Stephen Kellogg. With only 300 tickets available, this intimate concert promises a unique and personal experience in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to support the Kingdom Trails, one of the nation’s top network of non-motorized recreational trails that plays a vital role in the region’s outdoor economy, community health and overall growth of the sport of mountain biking.

The Kingdom Trail Association provides recreation and education opportunities by managing, maintaining, and building trails to foster the health of our community, surrounding environment, and regional economy. Kingdom Trails strives to accomplish its mission by offering a 100+ mile network of quality, non-motorized, multi-use trails for all levels of ability, incorporating the best of our local scenery and natural diversity. The Kingdom Trails are made possible through the generosity of 106 private landowners.

Adam Gardner is the frontman of the indie rock band Guster. It is a rare event for him to play out for a solo event, but as an active mountain biker and skier, Gardner happily obliged. In addition to performing with Guster and as a founding member of the rock supergroup Yukon Kornelius, Gardner is also Co-Founder/Co-Executive Director of REVERB, an environmental nonprofit empowering musicians and millions of music fans to create a better future for people and the planet through taking action at concerts, online and beyond. Since REVERB’s founding in 2004, Gardner has been rallying and empowering his fellow musicians to use their platforms to create real, measurable change for people and the planet.  Stephen Kellogg is a renaissance man. For more than two decades, this folksy musician, author, Tedx speaker and stand-up comic has delighted audiences around the world. Planet Bluegrass calls him “a first class songwriter with a poet’s gift for fresh imagery," and Counting Crows frontman  Adam Duritz says of Kellogg, “There are few people in rock n’ roll who are just so great.” His recent “Sit Down & Stand Up” Tour was a one man show that opened to rave reviews from fans and critics alike. A mix of music, humor and storytelling, each performance paints a unique canvas that covers the full spectrum of human emotions.

“We’re proud to host this benefit concert as part of our ongoing commitment to Kingdom Trails and its importance in our community,” said Jon Schaefer, Burke Mountain Chief Operating Officer. “Whether you're a longtime trail user or music fan, the Kingdom Trails Benefit Concert offers a one-of-a-kind night that supports a cause close to home.”

Tickets are $30 and are now on sale at KingdomTrails.org and are expected to sell out very quickly. Burke Mountain Hotel is offering a special Kingdom Trails Benefit Concert lodging package that includes an overnight stay and concert tickets. To book, visit SkiBurke.com.
