Jack Wolfskin Partners With Public Lands, DICK’S Sporting Goods’ New Outdoor Store Concept

Jack Wolfskin, a globally recognized outdoor brand centered on sustainability, environmental protection, and inclusivity, is proud to announce a partnership with Public Lands, a new outdoor specialty store concept from DICK’S Sporting Goods. The new retail locations are designed to provide consumers with an immersive and unique shopping experience centered around outdoor spaces.

The partnership comes as Jack Wolfskin seeks to expand its North American footprint and has been looking for retail partners who share the brand’s inclusive mission and sustainability ethos.

“Our brand is grounded in a passion for deeply connecting with natural ecosystems, and it’s our hope that through our apparel and gear, individuals can enjoy the many trail systems of North America,” said Diana Seung, General Manager of Jack Wolfskin North America. “We are thrilled about working with Public Lands on this new venture as it perfectly aligns with our brand ethos.”

The Public Lands retail locations are designed to provide an inclusive space for customers ranging from those who are looking to get started in outdoor activities to those who are highly skilled. The stores will encourage product trials and provide a space for consumers to touch, feel, and try on the many pieces of outdoor equipment and apparel.

“Through Covid there has been increased awareness around how vital our natural spaces are, which has triggered a broad resurgence in outdoor activities,” stated Seung. “We are passionate about communicating the importance of public lands and environmental protection and look forward to connecting with a broader consumer base through these locations.”

The first Public Lands store will have its grand opening on the weekend of September 24-26, with the second store opening in Columbus, Ohio in October. Shoppers will notice an inherent difference in the merchandising and shopping experience at these locations, with retail spaces designed to inspire explorers and fuel a need to get outside.
