Houdini X Osprey: We Thought Of Everything And Came Up With “Allt”

Two pioneering outdoor brands unite for a circular design collaboration

Houdini and Osprey announce a groundbreaking collaboration: the Allt backpack, a one-pack quiver built for four-season alpine adventures. Named after theSome description Swedish word for “everything,” Allt combines Osprey’s world-leading pack expertise with Houdini’s trailblazing approach to circular design.

“Allt is born from the belief that we can do more with less,” says Jesper Danielsson, Chief Product Officer at Houdini. “We wanted to create one backpack that could truly do it all — ski touring, climbing, hiking, travel — without compromise. And we built it to push the boundaries of both performance and sustainability.”

Since the start in 1993, Houdini has been reimagining the future of outdoor apparel. With cutting edge material technology, refined aesthetics and circular design principles, Houdini is setting a new standard for top tier technical clothing.

With eyes fixed on creating a smarter, more beautiful future, Houdini continues to explore new pathways for regenerative design, collaborative innovation and transformational change. To enable a life of grand adventures in harmony with nature is the brand’s ultimate reason to exist.

One Pack. Endless Adventures.

The Allt backpack is designed to be your trusted companion in the alpine — whether you’re skinning up a peak, approaching a climb, or heading into the backcountry for a challenging day hike. Available 20 L and 30 L volumes, key features include:

  • Designed for 4-season alpine adventures
  • Multi-use avalanche kit compartment
  • A-frame ski carry and rope compression strap
  • Ice tool attachment
  • Breathable, quick-drying construction
  • Water repellent treatment made without PFAS
    Built for repairability and recyclability

“This is the perfect do-it-all adventure backpack,” says professional skier and Osprey x Houdini ambassador Julia Mehner, who tested Allt on a month-long trip to Northern Norway. “I’ve used it for ski touring, hiking and traveling, and it never failed to deliver.”

Circular by Design

Sustainability is at the core of the Allt collaboration. Every detail has been considered:

  • Mono-material construction: All key components — fabrics, webbing, cord, and foam — are made from 100% polyester to enable straightforward recycling (where available).
  • Recycled content: Main fabrics contain at least 70% recycled material, the liner is 100% recycled, and meshes are made with at least 75% recycled content.
  • Innovative hardware: Bio-based POM buckles derived from captured agricultural methane, recyclable polyester webbing, and removable plastic/metal parts designed for easy replacement or proper disposal.
  • Circular system: At end-of-life, the Allt backpack can be returned to Osprey or Houdini for responsible recycling.

“Collaboratively, we thoughtfully sourced over 50 components from our supply chains to create multifunctional products composed of durable, high-performance materials that can be recycled when repair is no longer possible,” says Austin Kiefer, Product Designer at Osprey.

Wherever you find adventure, Osprey Packs is with you. Since 1974 has provided hikers, backpackers, bikers and everyday travelers with innovative and long-lasting carry solutions, each thoughtfully designed to reflect a passion for exploration and the outdoors. Headquartered where the rugged foothills of Colorado’s San Juan Mountains meet the spectacular Southwest desert, Osprey’s surroundings provide the ultimate product testing ground, guaranteeing that all technical packs are up to any challenges users may encounter.

A Lighter Way of Living

To carry the Allt backpack is to embrace simplicity: fewer possessions, fewer choices, and more freedom. By merging high performance with circular design, Houdini and Osprey invite outdoor adventurers to discover that the greatest journeys begin when life is stripped down to its essentials.
