Heli-Ski Group SEABA Announces 2025/26 Dates, Guide Team & Partnerships

SEABA (https://seaba-heli.com) today announces the dates of its 2025/26 heli-ski season along with new partners and an all-star list of professional guides. The upcoming season will focus on small-group experiences, clear safety protocols, and unbelievable terrain tailored to ability and conditions. SEABA uniquely offers guests a program that’s both bucket-list-worthy and approachable for strong resort skiers. Unique to its location, SEABA’s ski area extends over 250 nautical miles from the southern reaches of Southeast Alaska all the way to the British Columbia/Yukon border.

For the 2025/26 season, SEABA will operate from 02/21/26 through 05/03/26. Dates are booking up, but availability remains.

“No two seasons in Haines are ever the same,” said Nick Trimble, Founder, Co-Owner, and Head of Operations at SEABA. “That’s what makes this place so special. For 2025/26, we’re continuing to focus on small groups, with a ratio of one guide for every four guests, offering an authentic skiing experience that I can safely say you won’t find anywhere else in the world. You will feel the spirit and massiveness of Alaska on every line. It’s the reason we have people coming back every year - familiar faces, all smiles.”

SEABA 2025/26 Guide Team

SEABA’s team blends returning veterans with new additions, operating under SEABA’s safety framework and local protocols.

  • Lead Guide: Lucas Merli, Alaska native, legendary snowboarder

  • Lead Guide: Austin Shannon, Alaska guide since 2006, IFMGA/UIAGM Certified Guide

  • Snow and Safety Director / Guide: Simon Bolton, IFMGA/UIAGM Certified Guide and member, Swiss Alpine Rescue Service

  • Helicopter Partner: Coastal Helicopters - operating in Alaska since 1977

Guides with deep Alaska experience and avalanche credentials lead guests across the coastal ranges outside Haines, tailoring itineraries to snowpack and weather conditions. SEABA’s safety-first culture has been widely recognized across Alaska’s challenging heli-ski terrain.

“Every group, every run, every day starts with trust,” said Bolton. “Our job is to read the snow, read the weather, and make sure guests can ski lines - from spines to big, open fields - with confidence. That’s what makes SEABA and Haines so special. If you can comfortably ski or snowboard a black run at a Western resort, you will have the time of your life with the SEABA team heli-skiing.”
