Grand Opening Of The New 8-Seater Chairlift “Family Happiness” In See

A strong signal for innovation and family-friendliness: The See mountain lifts in the Paznaun Valley in Tyrol celebrated the grand opening of their newest attraction – the modern 8-seater chairlift "Familienglück" (Family Bliss). The modern lift was officially opened with a ceremony and prominent guests of honor – including Governor Anton Mattle, Mayor Michael Zangerl, Deacon Herbert Scharler, Managing Director Mathäus Tschiderer, and musical accompaniment by the "Seab'r Böhmischen" band.
“The new ‘Family Happiness’ lift marks another milestone in the further development of the Kappl & See ski area. With our new 8-seater chairlift, we are creating a significant improvement in quality and expanding the range of slopes for locals and guests,” said Mathäus Tschiderer, Managing Director of Bergbahnen See.
The modern lift system also embodies sustainability and regional awareness: The chairlift previously operated as the Höllbodenbahn in neighboring Ischgl and was rebuilt in See. By reusing the system, the See mountain lifts are committed to ecologically and economically sustainable infrastructure development.
Important investment in the future and strengthening of our offerings
In addition to the ski lift, a completely new 'Family Snowpark' will be offered in the future – including jumps, tubes, boxes, and playful features with Seebi the mascot for beginners. Furthermore, a covered 150-meter conveyor belt provides added convenience, especially for families with children and novice skiers. In total, the See mountain lift company invested around nine million euros in this important future project, which will significantly strengthen the ski area for the 2025/26 season.
“The Daredevils” provided musical entertainment
Following the official inauguration and exclusive previews of this chairlift project, a lively get-together was held at the Medrig Alm, attended by numerous guests of honor and partners. The band "Die Draufgänger" provided a fantastic atmosphere, thrilling young and old alike with their energetic performance on the Medrig Alm Stage. A musical finale that truly lived up to the name "Family Bliss."
Further development of the Kappl & See ski area
With the new chairlift, the See ski area expands its range of modern, comfortable, and family-friendly facilities. Together with the modernized Diasbahn lift in Kappl, the Kappl & See ski area will offer an even more diverse and attractive winter sports experience starting this winter, further reinforcing the entire region's position as one of the leading winter sports destinations.
