Gore Mountain Celebrates Fall With 5k Trail Run On September 16

Gore Mountain's annual Leaf Cruncher 5K trail walk/run will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018. All racers receive a scenic skyride aboard the Northwoods Gondola and raffle entry included with registration. The first 75 people to register also receive a custom Gore Mountain hat.

The race starts at 10am and features a redesigned course that circles the Base Area's rolling terrain. Participants can "treasure hunt" on course and exchange the spooky novelties they find for additional prizes. The top three runners in numerous age categories will receive a treat from sponsor Barkeater Chocolates and an award ribbon, and raffle prizes will also be distributed.

Day-of registration and all bib pickups will be 8:30-9:30am in the Guest Services Office of the Northwoods Lodge. Advance registration is available online at Active.com. Entry fee is $30, or $25 for 18-19 season passholders.

Other upcoming fall events include Carl Heilman's annual photography workshop on September 22, a Downhill Mountain Biking Camp also on September 22, and Gore's famous Harvest Festival October 6-7.

Gore Mountain is open for adventure activities and fall foliage skyrides 10am-5pm Saturday-Sunday through October 7.
