“We are so proud to get this nod from NSAA,” says Hunter Wright, Eldora’s sustainability manager. “It highlights not only our efforts to date but the need for Eldora and the broader ski industry to continue prioritizing sustainability in every aspect of resort operations and the guest experience.

Environmental stewardship is a foundational value at Eldora and POWDR, Eldora’s parent company. Eldora’s corporate sustainability initiative, Play Forever, involves protecting the environment through operational efforts and by inspiring guests and staff to participate in outdoor adventure.

On June 22, Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) named Kevin Sprecher, Eldora’s terrain park manager, the Terrain Master of the Year. Sprecher was lauded for professionalism, leadership, and creativity in his management of the Woodward Eldora’s terrain parks, which are the closest and most convenient ski and snowboard terrain parks for Colorado’s Front Range communities.

“Kevin built an exceptionally progressive system that incorporates all skill levels and provides opportunity for fun and challenges for every skill of skier and rider,” says Eldora’s snow surfaces manager, Chris Cipolletti. “His motivation to perform and lead his crew not only keeps them engaged but inspires them to work hard and encourages creativity.”
