Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group Showcases A Host Of Innovations And Interactive Exhibits At Interalpin

At INTERALPIN 2019, the Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group is presenting a broad spectrum of products and services with many new highlights: SMART Ropeway is the digital future of the ropeway, CWA is introducing the brand-new 3S cabin, ATRIA, while visitors to the trade fair can also experience the versatility of the new OMEGA V cabin. Another focus on the world market leader’s stand will, of course, be the D-Line ropeway generation.

Doppelmayr/Garaventa will have a host of product highlights and services on show at INTERALPIN 2019 – including a world premiere: The new 3S cabin, ATRIA, from CWA will be making its entrance at the trade fair for the first time. With its modular construction, the ATRIA addresses the need for flexibility and individual styling. It offers plenty of scope for flexible seating concepts as well as different ventilation and lighting options. Ropeway operators can equip the 3S cabin to suit their individual wishes and requirements as well as being able to rely on simple retrofits or conversions to add new fittings for years to come. Other features include a harmonized design language and the use of premium materials such as wood and fabrics for the cabin interior. Generously proportioned glazing and the elegantly reduced seat designs create transparency and ensure maximized views for passengers. The ATRIA is suitable for a wide range of applications in winter, summer and in urban environments.

Modularity and versatility of the OMEGA V
The new OMEGA V is also modular in design and versatile in use. The cabin can be experienced up close in different styling versions on the Doppelmayr/Garaventa stand. In the “Motion Cube”, visitors can immerse themselves in a digital world of experience and enjoy an impressive presentation of the OMEGA V and its many facets. The visionary feature of the new cabin generation is the digital integration of the OMEGA V in the ropeway control system, Doppelmayr Connect – for greater efficiency in day-to-day operations and a maximized ride experience. This means the ropeway operative can control cabin functions such as lighting, ventilation, air-conditioning and seat heating as well as two-way communications simply and centrally through Doppelmayr Connect. For Doppelmayr/Garaventa, the innovative connection of ropeway control system and cabin goes under the heading of ICT, information and communications technology – a key component of SMART Ropeway.

SMART Ropeway as a hands-on experience
SMART Ropeway is the name of Doppelmayr/Garaventa’s new strategic approach to the topic of digitalization in conjunction with rope-propelled mobility and the various areas of focus that involves for the future. The Doppelmayr/Garaventa stand includes a section dedicated to the interactive experience of SMART Ropeway (smartropeway.com). Here, visitors can try out the Doppelmayr Connect ropeway control system live and find out all there is to know about the benefits of the new RPD Nexo. The rope position detection system, Nexo, identifies a deviation of the rope from normal position at an early stage, which means before the occurrence of a deropement. This guarantees the ropeway operator maximum safety, particularly in the event of severe wind conditions. RPD Nexo is a further development of the long proven RPD system and impresses in particular with its rugged design and resistance to all types of weather conditions: snow and ice, water, heat, impacts, vibrations, UV radiation, lightning and chemically active substances.

D-Line: Customizable and low maintenance
The D-Line ropeway generation from Doppelmayr/Garaventa will also be extensively showcased at INTERALPIN. The various material and design samples as well as the many chair exhibits impressively demonstrate the benefits and high level of customizing on offer with the D-Line. They bring new ideas for the design of a D-Line installation and provide an overview of the configuration options for a ropeway – to ensure maximum comfort for ropeway personnel and passengers. Key features of the D-Line include straightforward and time-saving maintenance, low-noise operation and greater efficiency in ropeway operations.
