Dolomiti Superski Bumper Season Coming To Close

The 2023-24 ski season is coming to an end with very satisfactory results. The number of visitors and the desire to ski are increasing, with a customer panorama characterized by internationalization. Season times and ski pass prices for winter 2024-25 have been set, special offers at the beginning and end of the season, and the “Superski Family” combination confirmed.

We are only a few weeks away from the end of the current 2023-24 ski season, which officially closes on April 7th, including Sellaronda, although individual ski areas will traditionally cease operations a little earlier or later. At Dolomiti Superski it is definitely time to draw the first conclusions about the outgoing winter. And the results are quite satisfactory, despite a winter that alternated periods of freezing cold with periods of warmer than average. As of March 10, 2024, first accesses to the lifts had increased by 2% compared to the previous year, with the last winter season already being one of the best ever. The number of lift runs, a value that indicates how much skiing is done in a day, was confirmed to be the same as in 2022-23. “The fact that interest in skiing and mountain holidays continues so well makes us confident and motivated to continue on our current path, where we focus on the high quality of our service to customers,” says Andy Varallo, President of Dolomiti Superski .

Sales of the individual ski pass types, both from Dolomiti Superski and the individual ski areas in the network, also increased by +4%, with the 6-day ski pass, which has once again proven to be the driving force of the entire ski destination in the Dolomites. This underlines the high incidence and therefore the great importance of weekly tourism in the Dolomites. The popularity of the season ticket has also increased significantly compared to the previous year with +17% for the Superski variant and +8% for the valley tickets. These data show the great popularity of Dolomiti Superski's offerings among ski-loving locals and guests. However, the key figures for the “Dolomiti Superski Family” combination offer, which, like the season ticket, is aimed primarily at locals with very advantageous offers, have almost doubled. “The locals and those who live in the immediate vicinity of the Dolomites continue to be our most loyal customers and the increasing sales figures suggest to us that a lot of locals identify with this winter sport and our offering,” is the analysis by Superski General Director Thomas Mussner .

Online sales of ski passes are also growing rapidly and are receiving more and more support from customers every year as they learn about the advantages and convenience of this option. The almost forced introduction of the online shop due to the pandemic in order to avoid crowds as much as possible has gotten to the point where today almost one customer in three buys their ski pass online. In addition to the advantage of no longer having to go to the ski pass office and the traffic calming in the tourist resorts on changeover days, ski passes purchased online are rewarded with a 5% immediate discount if they are purchased at least two days before the start of validity. The My Dolomiti Card can then be obtained at the automatic “Pickup Box” cash registers and can easily be reloaded by customers on subsequent ski days. “This year we have increasingly promoted the reuse of the “My Dolomiti Card” ski pass cards because we want to reduce the number of disposable ski passes and thus, all together, make a contribution to sustainability. “The customers responded very well to it and we hope that this system will quickly become established in the coming winter seasons,” says Marketing Director Marco Pappalardo, who is also responsible for Dolomiti Superski’s sustainability program, among other things.

Season times in winter 2024-25

At its last general meeting, Dolomiti Superski also set the season times for winter 2024-25, the anniversary season for the 50th year of the founding of the Dolomites ski pass association. The first ski areas will open their doors on the last Saturday in November, i.e. on November 30th, 2024, while other ski areas including the central ones with the Sellaronda will join them on December 5th. The skiing fun will last until Sunday, April 6, 2025, although individual ski areas will end their season earlier or, as usual, after this date. High season is from December 22nd, 2024 to January 6th, 2025 and from February 2nd. until March 22, 2025, on the remaining days the seasonal prices apply. The special offers at the beginning and end of the season were also confirmed, with Dolomiti Super Première from November 30th to December 21st, 2024 and Dolomiti Springdays from March 16th to 22nd, 2025 (version L) and from March 23rd, 2025 to the end of the season in version S.

Price adjustment for ski passes 2024-25

The General Assembly of Dolomiti Superski has also made the price adjustments for the different types of ski passes, in line with the evolution of inflation, and has therefore already committed to the following prices: the day and multi-day tickets have been increased, depending on the type, between 3.7% and 5 .2% increased - the 6-day ski pass in high season will then cost 423.00 euros (in the season 381.00 euros), while the 3-day ski pass will cost 241.00 euros (216.00 euros in the Season). In high season, a day ticket for the entire Dolomiti Superski offer costs 83.00 euros, while in high season it costs 75.00 euros. In addition to Dolomiti Superski's wide range of ski passes, all of its ski areas also offer tickets for their own area at more advantageous prices.

The Dolomiti Superski season ski pass for adults, which is valid for almost five months in all 12 ski areas in the Dolomites, will cost 945.00 euros in advance until December 24th, 2024 (adjustment of 2.1%). The Junior cards for under 16-year-olds and Kids for under 8-year-olds cost 630.00 and 305.00 euros respectively, except in those cases where special conditions for large families and the “Family” combination card apply. For super seniors, the season ticket costs 790.00 euros. The new ski pass prices will be published on the Dolomiti Superski website following the ongoing winter season.

During the coming winter season 2024-25 there is also an immediate discount of 5% when purchasing day and multi-day tickets online at least 2 days before the validity date. If you already have an activated My Dolomiti Card (the reloadable ski pass card), you should keep it carefully and load the new ski pass there the next time you ski in the Dolomites. This helps to save plastic on disposable ski passes.

Superski Family 2025

Also in the 50th winter season of Dolomiti Superski there is again the very popular combination variant “Dolomiti Superski Family” for family groups who want to use the ski pass days purchased in advance within the registered family group flexibly and as they wish. This subscription is offered in advance with a 20% discount, within the pre-sale window in November 2024.
