Carezza Dolomites Looks Back On A Successful Winter Season

The 2024/25 winter season recently came to an end after 113 days in the Carezza Dolomites ski area. A season in which guests were able to fully enjoy the 40 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes at the foot of the Rosengarten and Latemar mountains thanks to 13 state-of-the-art lifts and mostly good weather. Now, the resort is looking forward to a short break – and the start of the summer season on Saturday, May 17th.

The 2024/25 winter season began on time and in fantastic conditions on Saturday, December 7, and concluded in a memorable way on Sunday, March 30. The lift operators of the Carezza Dolomites consortium look back on a successful season: solid growth was achieved in first-time access and rides. This development is no coincidence, but the result of consistent work and a clear focus – and it is crucial for the sustainable stability and further development of the participating companies.

Sporting highlights in Carezza Dolomites were once again the VISA FIS Snowboard World Cup on Thursday, December 12, 2024, immediately after the ski area reopened, and a good month later the FIS Telemark World Cup on January 15 and 16, 2025. Winter sports enthusiasts also found excellent conditions and smooth organization at the Raiffeisen Grand Prix State Championships for the U14 and 16 age groups, as well as at around 20 other races at the Karer Pass.

An important social function

In addition, no fewer than seven local winter sports clubs trained on the slopes below the Rosengarten and Latemar, respectively. And this was true for every age group, from ski kids to masters racers. "We are aware that we have a very important social function in this regard. With the Frommer and Masarè training slopes, we provide two tracks for training purposes virtually all year round," emphasizes Florian Eisath, Managing Director of Carezza Dolomites.

Last season, Carezza Dolomites once again established itself as a family ski resort. This is not only due to the sunny slopes of varying difficulty and the numerous restaurants. The operators also tried to accommodate families with their pricing. For example, all children up to the age of eight accompanied by an adult received a free ski pass. As in previous years, children attending kindergartens and elementary schools in the villages belonging to the ski area received a free season ski pass, and middle school students received a discounted season ticket. "With this initiative, we are trying to get as many children in our area as possible excited about winter sports and to accommodate their parents," emphasizes Eisath.

70 employees in action

But as one of the largest employers in the Eggental Valley, Carezza Dolomites, with its 70 employees, also plays an important role during the winter season – both economically and socially. "Our team deserves a huge thank you for their hard work – from early morning to evening, on Sundays and holidays. This is not something to be taken for granted and deserves our recognition," Eisath concluded.

The winter season has barely ended and the summer season is already upon us. It begins in Carezza Dolomites on Saturday, May 17. At this time, the Tiers Cabrio cable car and the Nova Levante gondola lift will open for hikers, and the Carezza Trail will open for all bikers. Starting May 29, the König Laurin 1 and 2 gondola lifts and the Paolina and Tschein panoramic chairlifts will also be open.
