Buff's Blank Canvas Returns With Three Artist-Led Collections

BUFF continues to champion creativity, community and environmental responsibility with the return of its Blank Canvas initiative for FW25, a platform dedicated to elevating global artist voices through BUFF’s iconic multifunctional neckwear and headwear.
Made with love in Barcelona, every BUFF neck gaiter begins life on a circular knitting machine as a blank canvas, ready to be transformed. Blank Canvas celebrates this moment, collaborating with artists from across the world to imprint their unique creative vision onto BUFF’s technical neckwear and headwear, blending performance with personal expression
Through Blank Canvas, BUFF continues to create space for self-expression, storytelling and meaningful collaboration. By working with artists and organisations that share its values, BUFF proves that technical performance, sustainability and creativity can exist side by side.
Each FW25 Blank Canvas piece combines BUFF’s trusted functionality with original artwork, empowering wearers to express who they are, what they stand for, and where they choose to explore.
For FW25, BUFF introduces three new collections: Hidden Gems, a renewed collaboration with Protect Our Winters; and a collaboration with Shogo Ota. Each collection offers a different perspective on nature, creativity and purpose.
Meg Smith x Hidden Gems Winter Collection
The Hidden Gems collection, created in collaboration with artist Meg Smith, invites wearers to discover the quieter beauty of winter landscapes. Drawing inspiration from hidden natural worlds, the collection features intricate patterns and vibrant colours that reflect Smith’s deep connection to the outdoors.
Based between Alaska’s Chugach and Talkeetna Mountains, Smith blends her background in graphic design with her love of wild places. Her artwork captures movement, texture and atmosphere, translating the energy of nature into wearable form.
The FW25 Hidden Gems collection includes Knitted Beanies and Original EcoStretch Multifunctional Neckwear, offered in multiple designs.
Protect Our Winters
The Protect Our Winters (POW) collection represents more than a creative collaboration, it reflects BUFF’s ongoing commitment to climate advocacy and protecting the outdoors.
Protect Our Winters is a global organisation inspiring outdoor enthusiasts, from professional athletes to everyday adventurers, to become climate activists. With more than 130,000 supporters worldwide, POW educates, unites and amplifies the voice of the outdoor community in the fight against climate change.
In collaboration with POW, BUFF continues to raise awareness around climate issues within the outdoor industry. For every product sold from the POW collection, BUFF directly supports Protect Our Winters’ work, helping to protect the environments we all rely on.
The FW25 collection is brought to life by French-Canadian artist Bambi, whose vibrant, joyful street-art style is shaped by her Art-doorsy lifestyle. A passionate snowboarder, surfer and skater, Bambi blends her love of adventure with mixed media techniques, creating bold, optimistic designs that invite escapism and imagination.
The collection includes ThermoNet Multifunctional Neckwear, ThermoNet Hinged Balaclava, Original EcoStretch Multifunctional Neckwear, Knitted Beanie and Youth styles across ThermoNet and Original EcoStretch.
Shogo Ota
Rounding out the FW25 Blank Canvas story is a sophisticated collaboration with internationally recognised artist Shogo Ota, whose past partnerships include Starbucks and Fjällräven.
Originally from Japan and now based in the Pacific Northwest, Ota’s work is characterised by intricate detailing, a refined colour palette and a deep appreciation for nature and modern aesthetics. His designs bring a quieter, more contemplative energy to BUFF’s performance products.
Crafted using premium materials, the collection blends elegance with durability, making it ideal for both outdoor pursuits and everyday wear.
The FW25 Shogo Ota collection features ThermoNet Multifunctional Neckwear, Original EcoStretch Multifunctional Neckwear (two designs) and ThermoNet Hinged Balaclava.
Joan Rojas invented BUFF's legendary multifunctional tubular as a protective solution to the sun, wind, and cold while touring country roads on his motorcycle– and in 1992, BUFF was founded.
Today, the company offers an entire line of accessories: from caps to headbands and beanies to balaclavas, all designed to help people live more outdoor moments. From day one, BUFF dedicated itself to caring for the well-being of the planet and the people who share it.
