Brundage Mountain Opens for Summer - Scenic Rides, Live Music & Fresh New Guest Hub

Brundage Mountain Resort opens for summer on Friday, June 13, with a full slate of outdoor activities and family-friendly events planned for the summer, anchored by a spacious new base area facility that makes it simple for guests to access everything the mountain has to offer.

Chairlift Service Opens Friday

Brundage Mountain will operate on a Friday-through-Sunday schedule starting Friday, June 13, expanding to five days a week—Wednesday through Sunday—beginning June 25. Bonus days are also planned for Monday and Tuesday, July 7 and 8.

The Bluebird Express chairlift runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., whisking visitors to panoramic views and easy-access hiking trails that are short in distance but long on scenic rewards. Several base area hiking trails are clear and ready to explore on opening day.

Brundage Bike Park

The Brundage Trail crew is hard at work prepping bike trails for opening. Guests are encouraged to check the Trail Report during the early part of the summer season as the crew continues to remove snow, manicure trails, and give mountain bikers more options to choose from.

Brundage Mountain has 30+ miles of singletrack for downhillers and XC riders to explore, including the stunning Rock Garden and Lakeview Vista Trails, which offer scenic beauty at every turn. This route connects to the new Brundage to Bear Basin (B2BB) Trail, a 6+ mile multi-use intermediate trail that connects these two trail systems while serving up an enjoyable ride for bikers headed either direction. The Brundage Rental Shop offers full-suspension bike rentals in several sizes from Transition and Rocky Mountain, and the Brundage Mountain Sports School provides Mountain Bike lessons by reservation throughout the summer.

Free Live Music Events Start July 4th

Brundage’s Fourth of July celebration returns with the Cat Track 10K/5K Fun Run in the morning and a full day of live music to enjoy with friends and family. Concert-goers can enjoy lawn games, delicious food, and a festive atmosphere. Ryan Yates kicks of the music at 10:30 am, followed by Don Hurt and the Prairie Blue at 12:30. Eli Howard and the Greater Good are set to take the stage at 3 pm.

Fridays this summer will again feature the TGIF Concert Series, presented by Toyota. Free and open to all, the concerts run weekly from July 11 through August 29. Each week’s show also supports a local nonprofit through the “Good Music, Good Deeds” initiative. Concerts are family-friendly, dog-friendly, and donation-friendly—with feel-good energy and plenty of room to dance.

2025 TGIF Lineup:

  • July 11 – Darci Carlson Band
  • July 18 – Great Bait
  • July 25 – Reb and The Good News
  • August 1 – Dangling Chains
  • August 8 – Ellis Bullard
  • August 22 – Möbius Trip
  • August 29 – Jeff Crosby

In addition to weekly concerts, Brundage will host live music at Smoky’s Bar & Grill every Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm – 3 pm starting June 14.

Brundage also offers free mountain yoga on Wednesdays, Sip & Stretch sessions on Saturdays, and the popular Twisted Turtle Racing Weekend, scheduled for July 25–27.

Mountain Adventure Center Welcomes Summer Guests for the First Time

This is Brundage Mountain’s first summer of operations in the Mountain Adventure Center (MAC), a new base area hub that houses the bike shop, bike school, restrooms, retail shop, lift tickets, guest services, and a coffee shop. The building offers a more organized and accessible space for summer guests, with a convenient drop-off loop and upgraded upper parking lot.

“The MAC has truly streamlined the arrival experience,” says April Whitney, Brundage spokesperson. “Everything guests need—whether it’s scenic ride tickets, bike rentals, lesson information, trail maps, or an extra hat or sunscreen—is now in one central, easy-to-navigate location.”

Now that the snow has melted away, the outdoor spaces near the MAC are getting upgrades, too. The Brundage team is working on a new covered outdoor event space that will create fun new options for summer events. The Bluebird Pavilion is a 3,200 square foot carpeted event shelter that will be used for weddings and can also be rented for family reunions, or corporate events and retreats.

Now Booking Weddings & Events for 2025/2026

With MAC construction complete, Brundage is hosting weddings and beautifully catered receptions in the base area once again, along with its signature mountaintop wedding ceremonies.

While many summer 2025 dates are already booked, a few openings remain. The resort recently opened bookings for Summer 2026.

Labor Day Weekend Marks End of Chairlift Operations

Summer chairlift operations wrap up on Labor Day, September 1, but the base-area activity rolls on with the NICA Youth Bike Race (Sept. 5–6) and the Brundage Car Show Takeover (Sept. 13).
