Brundage Mountain Opens Easy Street For Second Preview Weekend

Mother Nature threw a few curveballs this week, but despite the thermally confused precipitation that failed to add much to the overall snowpack, Brundage Mountain Resort is pleased to announce that Easy Street will open for a second preview weekend.
The Easy Street chairlift will operate 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, offering another free opportunity for guests to get on snow while the mountain awaits the natural snowfall needed to expand operations.
Guests are invited to make a day of it at Brundage Mountain, with Smoky’s Bar & Grill serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Tune Shop will be open with wax and edge services to help guests dial in their gear, while Mountain and Downtown Retail locations will feature a major early-season sale, including discounts of up to 75% on select goggles and helmets from last season.
Mountain Hours – Dec. 13–14
- Easy Street Chair: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Mountain Adventure Center: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Retail, Rental, Tune Shop: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Stuff a Snowcat Toy & Canned Food Drive Continues Through Dec. 14
As the slopes fill with new snow, Brundage is also working to fill something else — a snowcat — with donations for local families. Through Dec. 14, the resort is hosting its annual Brundage in the Community Week featuring the Stuff a Snowcat Toy and Canned Food Drive.
Guests are encouraged to donate:
- Toys for all ages
- Small bikes (24-inch wheels and smaller)
- Nonperishable food items
- Gift cards
- New toiletries
All donations support The New Meadows and Donnelly Food Pantries. Festive collection boxes are located in Guest Services and the Downtown Retail Store located at 317 E Lake Street in McCall.
“We’re really impressed with the public’s response to this donation drive. We’ve collected 40 bikes already – our friends at the Payette Bicycle Movement will get those shined and tuned so dozens of children can have a fun sporty gift under their Christmas trees,” said Brundage General Manager, Ken Rider.
More Storms Expected Next Week
Mostly sunny skies are expected for this second preview weekend, with a promising storm system set to arrive as soon as Tuesday, December 16. Brundage Mountain encourages guests to check the Snow Report and operations page for updates as the incoming storms develop.
Brundage will add operating hours and open additional terrain and lifts as soon as the slopes get enough snow to safely do so. In the meantime, the resort is gearing up to launch its winter event calendar with a pair of beloved holiday traditions.
Holiday Events Kick Off a Robust Winter Schedule
On Christmas Day, Santa will make his annual slopeside appearance during Santa Shreds Brundage, delighting families as he skis the mountain, hands out treats and spreads holiday cheer.
The celebration continues on New Year’s Eve with Light Up the Night, Brundage’s signature torchlight parade and fireworks show. The free, family-friendly event honors the magic of winter with music, festive glow displays and a torchlight procession down the lower mountain.
These events mark the start of a full season of on-mountain festivities designed to bring the community together to celebrate the resort’s 65th winter. Other events include $65 Tuesday Tickets and live music in the Upper Lot Pub on weekends and through Winter Break. More info: brundage.com/events-calendar
