Avant Premiere Design Showcases Design Of Huy´s New Ropeway Cabins

After designing Brest's and Reunion Island's ropeway, AVANT-PREMIERE, associated with MND Group, signs the design of Huy's new ropeway cabins in Belgium.
This project relies on the most advanced cable transportation technologies, with particular attention paid to the preservation of the existing cable car’s heritage elements and to the ropeway integration.
The timeless design of the two new cabins reminisces the historic cabins. Their glazed surface enhances a panoramic view on the urban and natural landscapes overflown. The soft and warm interior lightning can be seen from the exterior; thus contributes to the attractiveness of the cabins on the territory.
This 1.3 km-long ropeway of a vertical rise of 131 meters, will reduce time spent commuting between the Huy Fort site, Sarte districts and down-town to less than 4 minutes. Fully automated, the new cable car is set to become an essential link for urban and tourist mobility. The cabins can accommodate up to 15 people. They are suitable for people with reduced mobility, cyclists, families and will contribute to the attractiveness and development of the entire city.
The project will begin as of 2020 and the ropeway will start operating in 2021.
