Atomic Enters Into Official Partnership With Kai Jones

Atomic, the fastest growing ski brand in North America, today announced its official partnership with Kai Jones from Victor Idaho, elevating the junior freeride ripper to the brand’s global freeride backcountry team. The announcement comes just days before the 12-year-old makes his debut on the silver screen with his first featured segment in Teton Gravity Research’s Far Out film.

Jones grew up in a skier’s paradise on the back side of the Tetons in the small town of Victor, Idaho. The young skier spent most of his time growing up skiing big lines both in and outside of the resorts in the Teton mountain range.

Last season Jones took home the title of the 2018 IFSA U12 North American Freeride Champion. At only 12 years of age, Kai is starting to spend more and more time filming with his father, Todd Jones, and the professional crew at TGR. This season Jones will continue to compete on the IFSA Junior Tour, while also focusing on ski mountaineering and filming. Whether getting face shots at Grand Targhee, dropping cliffs at Jackson Hole, or competing in big mountain contests – the TGR youngster is constantly chasing his love of sliding down snow on the new 2018 Bent Chetler Mini.
