Arizona Snowbowl Announces Nearly $1.5 Million In Capital Improvements For 2025–26 Winter Season

Today, Arizona Snowbowl announced it is investing nearly $1.5 million in a series of capital improvements focused on maintaining forest health, enhancing the state’s best tree skiing, and implementing strategic upgrades for the upcoming winter season.

Last winter, Snowbowl achieved several milestones, opening on November 8, its earliest opening on record, and remaining one of only five ski areas operating nationwide by late May. The resort closed on June 1 after a record 185 skiable days, marking its second June closing in the past two years.

Arizona Snowbowl will continue upgrading its snowmaking capabilities for the 2025-26 season, making it possible for more beginner and intermediate terrain near the Humphreys Chairlift to open earlier and stay open later. These enhancements continue to drive longer, more reliable winter seasons for Arizona skiers and snowboarders.

This summer, Snowbowl is removing dead and downed trees to reduce forest fuels and help maintain a healthy forest. These newly gladed areas will also create some of the best tree runs in the state, providing more beginner-friendly and advanced terrain options within the ski area boundary.

In addition to terrain and forest enhancements, Snowbowl is building on recent improvements, including the new Aspen Chairlift and remodeled Agassiz Lodge Bar, by continuing to invest in the guest experience. Upgrades include new ski and snowboard rental equipment featuring 1,200 ski boots (Dalbello, Elan, Lange) and over 1,000 Smith helmets; expanded Wi-Fi coverage throughout the resort; new dining offerings; and more efficient point-of-sale systems.
