Arapahoe Reopening On May 27th

Arapahoe Basin will open Wednesday, albeit with restrictions. CEO Alan Henceroth says:

It is official. We are going to re-open Wednesday, May 27. As I mentioned a couple days ago, we will sell a very small number of lift tickets. Mostly this opening is for all of our pass holders. That includes A-Basin season passes, Any Day Passes, Ikon Passes and Mountain Collective Passes. We will be open 7 days a week from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM.
This is going to be very different.
1. Reservations are required. DO NOT SHOW UP WITHOUT A RESERVATION.
2. Physical distancing will be enforced and guests must wear face coverings in designated areas.
3. Tailgating and other gatherings will not be allowed.
We have been given an extraordinary opportunity. We need to take this very seriously and we need to respect the guidance given by our Summit County and State of Colorado health officials. We have to open in a responsible way. We need everyone to help.

Oh yeah, beginning Wednesday afternoon Uphill Access will be open for Uphill Pass holders from 4 PM until 8 AM. Users must be off the hill by 8 AM.
The re-opening is new ground for us in terms of policies and procedures. We have already learned a few things since the announcement yesterday. As we work through the coming weeks, our summer season and the next ski season, we will be learning and growing every single day. Our business and products can be fairly complicated. A few things to clarify already are:

-We will not be selling any additional passes, including uphill passes, valid for the 2019-20 season.

-Our daily total number of reservations will be for 600 skiers and riders. 30 of those reservations will for lift ticket sales. The other 570 reservations will be for the various pass holders. One of our biggest objectives is to offer skiing and riding for folks that already have a pass valid at The Basin.

-We are only taking reservations online. No phone reservations. People with reservations will have to show up with a reservation confirmation. We recommend paper, but we will accept mobile confirmations. Remember cell service is not that great at The Basin. You will have to show a reservation confirmation.

-Reservations will made one day at a time. Reservations for a specific day will be available be at 7 PM MT two nights before that specific day.

I am sure there will be more questions and there will probably be some more changes.
I am so excited we can offer the "A-Basin Tribe" a chance to ski and ride again this season. This will be cool.
