Anders Furbeck Leaves The Role As Chairman Of The Swedish Ski Association

Federation Chairman Anders Furbeck has announced that he is immediately leaving his position within the Swedish Ski Association for personal reasons.

After seven years on the board of the Swedish Ski Association, most recently in the role of association chairman, Anders Furbeck announces that he is choosing to resign for personal reasons.

" Unfortunately, I must announce that the high workload that the chairman of the Swedish Ski Association entails can no longer be combined with my private family situation and I have therefore chosen to leave my position immediately. I am of course available if needed.

"I am truly passionate about skiing and snowboarding and club life, in all its forms, so it is with a heavy heart that I have made this decision. I will now prioritize all my time and energy to what is most important in my life – namely my family. I ask you to respect this" says Anders Furbeck.

"I really want to thank Anders for his great contributions, both within the Swedish Ski Association's board but also in the role as district chairman in Norrbotten, for many years. Anders has a heart that beats for skiing, his great commitment to Ski and Snowboard Sweden has meant a lot. We will really miss him" says vice chairman of the association Lennart Käll.

Last October, Anders Furbeck succeeded Karin Mattsson.
