Alpine And Nordic Swiss Ski Family Together During Advertising Week

For the second time in a row, the traditional Swiss Ski Pool and Swiss Ski submission day for alpine and Nordic athletes took place as a winter kick-off during the advertising week in The Hall in Dübendorf. In addition to handing over the equipment and material for the competition season, media events could also be held and photos and film recordings could be made for sponsors, partners and internal purposes.

Athletes, trainers, other staff members and officials from the Alpine and Nordic areas were equipped with the new team clothing for the winter by the Swiss Ski Pool on the delivery day of October 4, 2022. The alpine athletes received thermal clothing from Descente, winter shoes from On, gloves and hats from Reusch, fashion clothing from the new outfitter BAYARD CO LTD and underwear from X-Bionic. In addition, all were equipped with their individual hardware.

The Nordic athletes, on the other hand, were able to stock up on the general Swiss Ski Fashion equipment from BAYARD CO LTD with footwear from On, gloves from Roeckl and competition and thermal clothing from SCATTA', as well as individual hardware products.

Embedded in the advertising week

The traditional submission day took place for the second time in a row as part of the advertising week. Films and photographs were taken of the athletes and the support staff. At four of Swiss-Ski's own photo stations, photos were taken for the autograph cards, for celebration graphics, the FIS athlete portraits and the team pictures.

In addition, the association's partners - including the main partner Sunrise and the premium partners Raiffeisen, Helvetia and BKW - were given the opportunity to create advertising photos with the athletes. All in all, the athletes were photographed in more than ten photo and film studios, for which they were made up in the specially designed masks.

Delivery day as a fixed point in the calendar

The annual submission day is one of the few occasions on which the Alpine and Nordic members of the Swiss-Ski family meet, alongside the Mass Day scheduled for spring. This year, the winter kick-off took place for the first time under the flag of the new main partner Sunrise - and for the first time in three years in the usual form and scope.

For the last time, the submission day was conducted under the direction of Christian Zingg. The head of equipment at Swiss-Ski and managing director of the Swiss Ski Pool will be taking on a new professional challenge at the beginning of January 2023.Silvan Nideröst, a well-known face from the sporting goods industry, will follow in his footsteps.Nideröst was responsible for communications at Stöckli Outdoor Sports AG for six years before he held various positions at Atomic (AMER Sports SA) in Hagendorn for the past 14 years.
