Alpin Card Announces Change Of Leadership In The Advisory Board

On board the MS Schmittenhöhe, the chairmanship of the ALPIN CARD Advisory Board was handed over. Dr. Erich Egger, CEO of Schmittenhöhebahn AG, handed over this role to Hannes Schwabl, Managing Director of Saalbacher Bergbahnen, after several years of successful collaboration.

The ALPIN CARD was launched in 2019 as a joint ticket network for the three premium regions of Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See, and the Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun. The official signing also took place on the MS Schmittenhöhe. Since then, the product has stood for a supra-regional, year-round mountain experience with a unified range of tickets.

With just one ticket, guests can enjoy mountain experiences 365 days a year in three top regions. Close collaboration behind the scenes is a key foundation for this. The Advisory Board, chaired by Dr. Erich Egger for the past three years, plays a key role. Hannes Schwabl, a long-standing partner from the cable car industry, is now taking over as chairman.

Following the handover, the ship's 20th anniversary was celebrated on the MS Schmittenhöhe – the place where the ALPIN CARD was launched in 2019.
