Alpen Bikepark Schneeberg: Full Speed Ahead Towards Opening

Deputy Governor Landbauer says 11 kilometers of trails are available for families, children, and mountain bike enthusiasts
"For three months now, we have been building a unique future project around the Schneeberg chairlift in Losenheim: From spring 2026, families, children, and mountain bike fans can look forward to an extra dose of fun and adrenaline in the newly built Alpen Bikepark Schneeberg, where 11 kilometers of trails and lines will be available for our residents, athletes, and guests upon opening," says Lower Austria's State Minister for Transport and Deputy Governor Udo Landbauer, giving a more than encouraging interim assessment of the rapid construction progress of the Alpen Bikepark Schneeberg.
By the end of summer, construction work on numerous trail sections will be well underway. Thanks to minor adaptations, the first expansion phase will now include 11 kilometers of trails and lines instead of the originally planned 10. In the fall of 2025, construction work will also begin in the valley on the Riders Playground, a skills area for beginners and children. The Shop&Rent, which is being built in the Schneeberg chairlift station building, is also already taking shape. To best meet the needs of hikers and bikers in the future, the hiking trail next to the Schneeberg chairlift was also redesigned as part of the work. The route now boasts even more beautiful scenery, and the very steep sections have been made easier by newly constructed steps.
With a total investment volume of €2.6 million, the Alpen Bikepark Schneeberg will be built around the existing infrastructure of the Schneeberg chairlift, creating an action-packed, sports-packed, and nature-filled experience for families, children, and ambitious adrenaline enthusiasts. Opening in spring 2026, it will feature eleven kilometers of trails and lines of all difficulty levels, from blue to black (similar to ski slope difficulty levels), as well as a Riders Playground for beginners and children. In two further expansion phases, the bike park will be expanded to a total of 15 kilometers of trails and lines by spring 2028.
