Pats Peak Continues Reinvestment For 2025-26 Season

Pats Peak, known for delivering outstanding skiing and snowboarding experiences, is once again demonstrating its commitment to continual improvement with a substantial investment in guest experience and mountain infrastructure. Building on the recent completion of one of the most advanced mountain operations facilities in the region, the 2025-2026 season will debut the highly anticipated Hurricane Quad and a series of upgrades across the resort designed to elevate every aspect of a guest’s visit.
“At Pats Peak, we’ve always believed that reinvestment is the key to staying ahead,” says Kris Blomback, General Manager. “Our goal is to make sure every guest, from first-timers to seasoned skiers, has the best possible experience each time they visit. These upgrades reflect our passion for the mountain and our commitment to the future.”
HURRICANE QUAD: A NEW SUMMIT RIDE EXPERIENCE
The centerpiece of this year’s improvements is the Hurricane Quad, a new SkyTrac fixed-grip quad chairlift that replaces the former Hurricane Triple. Designed with both performance and comfort in mind, the new lift features a loading conveyor for improved efficiency and a completely reimagined approach and loading area. This lift will increase uphill capacity by 25%, reducing wait times and providing quicker access to Pats Peak’s popular summit terrain.
A new route to the Hurricane Quad has also been created, offering a more streamlined connection from the lodge and base area, which in turn frees up valuable space on the mountain for their beginner area.
EXPANDED BEGINNER AREA
Thanks to the reconfiguration of lift access, Pats Peak has been able to open up additional space in its Beginner Area. This newly reclaimed area has been freshly graded to create a more confidence-building learning environment for those new to skiing and snowboarding. Future plans also include the installation of a smaller, beginner-friendly carpet lift specifically designed for first-time learners and young children.
SNOWMAKING INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS
Reliable early-season conditions and consistent snow quality have always been part of the Pats Peak promise. This year, snowmaking capabilities are being enhanced with the reconfiguration of piping in the base area, improving efficiency to get snowmaking underway faster. Additionally, preparations are underway to install a new summit powerline, a major investment that will unlock greater snowmaking potential in future seasons.
“Our snowmaking team works incredibly hard to deliver some of the best snow in the region,” says Blomback. “These infrastructure upgrades will help us open earlier and stay open longer.”
ELEVATED DINING EXPERIENCES
Guests will also notice an exciting transformation in the food and beverage offerings at the resort. Our culinary team is unveiling revamped menus and new service options for the season:
• The Sled Pub will feature a refreshed menu with the addition of savory BBQ options.
• Après Sweets will satisfy sugar cravings with a lineup of indulgent treats.
• The Valley Lodge will feature a fresh deli station with made-to-order sandwiches.
• To streamline service and improve the guest experience, QR code ordering will be introduced on the Sled Pub deck.
Behind the scenes, several kitchen upgrades—including new grills, refrigerators, and ice machines—are being added to support the expanded offerings and improve operational efficiency.
PROGRAM AND FACILITY UPGRADES
Kids Program Area
Pats Peak’s popular Kids Program will see an expansion this season, with increased square footage and new flooring to enhance comfort, safety, and capacity. This space is designed to better serve younger guests while maintaining the resort’s strong reputation for high-quality instruction.
Rental Equipment Enhancements
To round out the list of improvements the rental shop will welcome new skis, snowboards, and boots for our renters to have access to top-quality gear that enhances their performance and enjoyment on the slopes.
