Mt. Hood Meadows Debuts New Summer Trail Challenge Hiking Contest

Sweeping views of the Oregon Cascades, fields of alpine wildflowers, and gorgeous waterfalls flush with snowmelt, are reason enough to hike at Mt. Hood Meadows in the summer. But here's another one: the resort's Summer Trail Challenge, which starts today!

This brand-new event runs throughout the entirety of Mt. Hood Meadows' Summer Operations (June 27 - September 1) and awards prizes and discounts at local businesses to guests just for hiking at Meadows.

Prizes will be awarded at the end of the challenge for most days hiked at the resort, most elevation gained, and fastest time to the top of Wizard Way. Even if you don't hit any of those achievements, you'll still be entered into a raffle just for participating, as well as be able to unlock significant discounts at local businesses the same day you hike at Meadows.

To participate in the challenge, simply download the Strava app, join the Mt. Hood Meadows Strava club, and use the app to track your adventure in order to win. To receive your discounts, show that day's Meadows hike on your Strava app at the business you are redeeming the discount at.
