Helly Hansen Upgrades Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket 2.0 With Enhanced Fit & Design Based On Professional Feedback

Since 1877, leading global ski brand Helly Hansen has been trusted by professionals, working closely with them to ideate, test and validate their designs. With a focus on innovation, the Norway-based brand is motivated to continue improving, never settling for less than the highest quality, performance and protection. For Winter ’25, Helly Hansen launches the upgraded Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket 2.0 (£700), featuring an enhanced fit and design based on feedback from professional freeride skiers and ski patrollers.

An evolution of the Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket, the upgraded version maintains the highest level of weatherproof protection, featuring LIFA INFINITY, a professional-grade waterproof/breathable technology made without the use of solvents or PFAS. The jacket is constructed with the innovative LIFA INFINITY™ membrane, a face fabric and durable water-repellent treatment, meeting the extreme waterproofness and breathability of HELLY TECH Professional construction, making it ideal for long days on the mountain.

A trusted favourite among professional skiers, the Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket has been worn and tested in a variety ofSome description mountain environments. Working closely with freeride skiers Jim Ryan, Madison Rose Ostergren and Simon Hillis as well as Heavenly Mountain Resort ski patroller Stephen Larson, Helly Hansen’s designers listened to their feedback and implemented it into the new, enhanced design. Featuring an overall improved fit, a larger chest pocket to accommodate radios, reinforced fabric on the shoulders for added durability and a specifically engineered collar with a fan around the neck to create room for multiple layering options, the upgraded Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket 2.0 is purpose-built for skiing in deep powder all winter long.

Also new for Winter ’25, the 2.0 jacket has been designed as part of an entire Ridge kit, including the Ridge Infinity Shell Bib and Ridge Hybrid Insulator. Made to be worn together as a complete system, each Ridge product can easily be layered while allowing skiers to wear and use the products as they prefer. For example, with beacon-specific pockets and a Life Pocket+™, with a silicone phone leash to minimise any drop risk, on both the jacket and bib, the skier can choose where to store their phone and beacon without interfering with the beacon signal. Additionally, these stash pockets have been designed with performance and functionality in mindpreventing phones and beacons from moving around in the pockets when the skier is in motion. For added durability, the bib also features reinforced fabric on the inside of the pant gaiter to avoid wear and tear from the repetitive opening and closing of boot buckles.

“As extreme users, our professional ski partners help us to question, ideate and validate our products as the sport continues to evolve,” said Louise Micolon, Product Manager for Winter Sports at Helly Hansen. “Sometimes, we don’t need to reinvent the wheel and instead can focus on examining and refining the design and details which can make a big difference for the product’s performance and durability. What defines our professionals is how much time they spend in the field, and with their insight, they can trust our gear to help them, and skiers everywhere, stay and feel alive on the mountain.

Additional features of the Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket 2.0 include: a helmet-compatible hood, a detachable powder skirt, adjustable cuffs and bottom hem, articulated sleeves for optimal mobility, an anti-chafe chin guard, neon colour details for style and visibility, underarm zips for ventilation and a RECCO reflector for searchability in an emergency.

The Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket 2.0, Ridge Infinity Shell Bib and Ridge Hybrid Insulator will be available in both men’s and women’s specific designs in-store and online starting in Autumn 2025.
