BUFF Celebrates Earth Day With Hands-On Tree Planting Initiative As Part of Their 1% For The Planet Commitment

BUFF®, the leader in multifunctional neck and headwear, is marking this year’s Earth Day with a transformative tree-planting initiative - bringing together sixty employees in a shared commitment to sustainability and ecological restoration.

Joan Rojas invented BUFF's legendary multifunctional tubular as a protective solution to the sun, wind, and cold while touring country roads on his motorcycle– and in 1992, BUFF was founded. Held in Castell de Queralt (Bellprat), a region affected by forest fires and deforestation, the event saw participants plant 240 fruit trees, creating the BUFF Fruit Trees Forest - a contribution to local biodiversity and carbon offsetting. The day also focused on biomass clean-up, manually clearing organic material to reduce the risk of future wildfires.

The hands-on reforestation activity also served as a powerful team-building experience, uniting people through purpose and nature. This initiative reflects BUFF’s holistic approach to sustainability, encompassing responsible manufacturing, circular product design, and minimising ecological impact at every stage of production.

As part of BUFF’s long-standing partnership with 1% for the Planet, this initiative underscores the brand’s promise to donate a portion of CoolNet UV sales to environmental causes - demonstrating meaningful action beyond words.
