Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental Completes Snowmaking Improvements

2020 at the Brixen im Thale and Scheffau ski area  was all about expansion in order to be fit for the future.

In the area of the Brantlalm on the Bressanone side, a new storage pond was built, and the Tyrolean pipes GmbH supplied the pond and field pipes to expand the existing network. This project is another example that quality, sustainability and regional production have gained in importance.

The traditional Tyrolean company supplied almost nine kilometers of PUR Longlife pipelines in various nominal sizes from DN 80 to DN 400 for this project. The field lines were installed by HV Bau, the pond lines were implemented by Stöckl Bau. The planned storage pond Brantlalm with a storage volume of 155,700 m³ is to be used in the future for the Brixen i. Th. And half of the Scheffau mountain railway are available.

As an annual storage tank, the water supply for basic snowmaking at the beginning of the season should be secured and enough water should be available for repair snowmaking during the season. A natural design of the storage tank was one of the central tasks of the Klenkhart und Partner planning office. In addition, the pond should also have a function as a landscape-shaping element in summer and fit as seamlessly as possible into the alpine pasture area.

In addition  Scheffau and Brixen im Thale, Hopfgarten and Ellmau, also members of the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, invested in the snow reliability of their ski areas and trust in the skills of TRM. In 2020, a total of 16 kilometers of new snow lines could be installed there. In the case of the Brixen im Thale mountain railways project alone, with a pipe length of nine kilometers, this corresponds to a good 45 full truck loads.

The customers enjoy the great advantages that they have with the partner TRM. The proximity to the factory guarantees short delivery routes, which in turn shortens delivery times, and if something should be required, fittings can also be picked up on site. In addition, TRM's high level of service orientation means that there is an ongoing comparison.

On the one hand in the planning phase, in which the offer is created on the basis of a plan, on the other hand also continuously during the project itself, because this way returns or excess deliveries and thus costs can be limited. In the case of the Brixen im Thale mountain railways project alone, with a pipe length of nine kilometers, this corresponds to a good 45 full truck loads. The customers enjoy the great advantages that they have with the partner TRM.
