Whitefish Mountain Resort To Open May 26 For Summer Activities

After a big winter with one of its deepest snowpacks in history, Whitefish Mountain Resort will start the summer season three weeks earlier than usual. The resort opens Saturday, May 26, weather permitting with summer activities such as Zip Line Tours, the Aerial Adventure Park, Scenic Lift Rides, and mountain biking in the Bad Rock Zone and cross-country trails. No skis or snowboards will be permitted on chairlifts. Additional activities will be offered as the snow melts. The resort will be open daily starting June 16 through Labor Day, and Friday-Sunday through September 23. The resort’s long list of activities, mountaintop views of Glacier National Park, restaurants and lodging make the perfect basecamp for visitors seeking a memorable and affordable vacation in northwest Montana.

As part of the resort’s dedication to providing summer activities for the entire family, Whitefish Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the addition of its new Summer Tubing activity. The resort will add two side-by-side slides next to a new conveyor carpet which Summer Tubing riders will use to get to the top of the hill. Once at the top, each rider will ride solo 300 feet down a slippery surface. Riders must be 34 inches in height, $12 for a 2-Ride Ticket and $20 for a 4-Ride Ticket. Summer Tubing is scheduled to open June 16.
 
In addition to the new Summer Tubing activity, Whitefish Mountain Resort guests also can experience the mountain through a variety of adventures this summer including:

In May and June, guests who visit the resort can take advantage of early season pricing on Zip Line Tours and the Aerial Adventure Park. From May 26 through June 30 the 5-Zip Tour is only $55 and the 7-Zip Tour is $63 per person, and the Aerial Adventure Park is $41 for ages 13 and up and $31 for kids ages 7-12.
 
For guests looking to get the most out of a day at Whitefish Mountain Resort and save money the resort offers summer activities packages. New for summer 2018 priced at $25 the Kids Adventure Package: includes unlimited access to Strider Bike Park and Spider Monkey Mountain, and a 2-Ride Summer Tubing Ticket. Guests also can book one of the resort’s other summer activity packages. The Aerial Adventure Activity Package combines admission into the Aerial Adventure Park, a round-trip Scenic Lift Ticket and three-ride ticket for the Alpine Slide, Summer Tubing or both priced at $67 for ages 13 and up and $57 for ages 7-12. The 7-Zip Line Tour Activity Package combines a 7-Zip Tour, a round-trip Scenic Lift Ticket and three-ride ticket for the Alpine Slide, Summer Tubing or both for $95.    
 
Whitefish Mountain Resort has two on-mountain restaurants open in the summer. The Summit House features the only mountaintop dining in Montana and a full bar, all with a view of the Flathead Valley and peaks of Glacier National Park. In the base area, the Base Lodge is a hub of activity and refreshment with the Base Lodge Café, Base Lodge Bar and the Base Lodge Coffee Bar and provides plenty of outdoor seating on its patio. Both restaurants offer special menus for the kids, vegan items, gluten-free substitutes as well as grab & go items and use fresh, local ingredients whenever possible.

Whitefish Mountain Resort wishes to show its gratitude for its 2017/18 Winter Season Passholders by offering 50 percent off all summer activities for the weekends of May 26-27, June 2-3 and June 9-10, 2018. No skis or snowboards will be permitted on chairlifts.

Passholders must bring their 2017/18 Winter Season Pass to receive discounts for activities, food and beverages. Reservations are required for Zip Line Tours at 406-862-2900. Non-passholders can take advantage of the early season rates on the Aerial Adventure Park and Zip Line Tours.
