Vans Releases Limited Edition Snowboard Boot

With 25 years under his belt on the Vans Snow team, Jamie Lynn has remained one of the most legendary riders in the game. Celebrating his status, and the level of progression both he and the brand have achieved, Vans is proud to announce a limited, 250-pair global release of his new snowboard boot, the Jamie Lynn LTD.

The drop marks the first in an annual ongoing Vans LTD Snow Program, focused on the people, places and ethos that make snowboarding what it is. In this spirit, Vans will release a limited run of new, carefully-crafted product once a year, available exclusively at core snowboard retailers worldwide.

Jamie’s inspiration for his signature release comes from a combination of traditional work and motorcycle boots that checked the boxes of low profile, and a clean, black aesthetic. The result is an external, two-piece leather shroud that mimics a work boot and folds over directly under the boot’s laces to keep snow out.

Vans’ limited-edition Hybrid Boa® closure system is highlighted in a unique gold Boa cable. The system provides micro-adjustability at the foot’s instep, eliminates heel lift and creates a more supportive, personalized fit. At Jamie’s request, the boot’s internal harnessing was removed, allowing for quicker, less encumbered entry and exit, while an asymmetrical flex system delivers more free-feeling foot and ankle articulation when riding.

A TPU Boa Guard protects the Boa dial while getting on and off a sled, in and out of a CAT – or anywhere else the season takes you. One-way breathable valves are waterproof, transporting moisture out of the boot, while ensuring thermal regulation for dry, comfortable feet.

Integrated into the V3 UltraCush heat-moldable liners, The North Face FlashDry™fabric technology is engineered to act like a second skin, pushing moisture to the surface and eliminating it as quickly as possible.

The boot is finished with custom packaging that showcases Jamie’s artwork, also found on an arm patch and a travel sketch book, meant to keep riders’ creativity flowing while on the road.

Heavily influenced by skateboarding, Jamie Lynn looked to snow as an opportunity to bring the raw style seen in skate to his snowboarding. As a result, that catapulted him to a stellar career of contest wins and video parts. But it was his original approach to style and authenticity that cemented his legend status.

Today, he quietly lives larger than life from his home in Washington, but also travels the world in pursuit of progression, from the bottomless glades of Japan to the towering peaks of Alaska.

Vans Snow has always been connected to the core spirit of this thing. For right or wrong we are helplessly addicted to the feeling, the people, the places, the identity. We can’t always say why we do what we do, and we don’t need to justify it. It just feels right. Our new LTD program is built on exactly those principals – no boundaries, no traditional thinking.

Connecting back to the fabric of snowboarding, we’ve drawn on the people and places that have influenced us to fuel these unique, ground-up builds. Each project is as inimitable as it’s source of inspiration and just as fleeting. These limited runs will be available exclusively at core snowboard shops – and once product is gone, it’s gone for good.
