TMR Sells Ankogel Ski Area

Tatry mountain resorts, as (TMR) has signed a purchase agreement for the sale of the Mallnitz Ankogel ski area. The agreement became effective on July 1, 2025.
TMR originally acquired the Mallnitz Ankogel ski area as part of its acquisition of the Mölltal Glacier – the only glacier ski area in Carinthia – in June 2019. With the signing of the purchase agreement, a group of Croatian investors is now the new owner of Ankogel Bergbahnen BE GmbH.
"We are pleased that, in the spirit of sustainable operation, we have succeeded in finding investors who are willing to continue this project together with the local authorities. We will now focus more intensively on the further development of the Mölltal Glacier ski area," said Igor Rattaj, CEO of TMR. The purchase price of the transaction is not being disclosed by mutual agreement.

The Ankogel Mallnitz ski area (20 kilometers from the Mölltal Glacier ski area) is located in the Hohe Tauern National Park between Carinthia and Salzburg. It offers almost 13 kilometers of ski slopes, freeride terrain, as well as a cable car and four ski lifts.
The Ankogel lift is located in the Hohe Tauern National Park region, at the end of the municipality of Mallnitz and about 30 km from the Mölltal Glacier ski area. Mallnitz is not one of the selected "Alpine Pearls" for nothing.
There are almost 18 kilometres of slopes to discover at Ankogel for skiing and snowboarding. The Ankogel cable car takes you up to 2637 m above sea level in two stages. There you will not only be rewarded with an incredible alpine panorama - the skiing area is ideally suited for passionate skiers as well as families with children. In addition to the descents on the piste, various variants attract deep-snow fanatics to freeride on the Ankogel. When the weather is bad on the Mölltal Glacier, the Ankogel is a great alternative to skiing. The winter season here usually starts in the second half of December and lasts until spring.
The Kinderland and Köfele lifts are located directly at the valley station of the Ankogel cable car. The ski school offers beginners and returning beginners comprehensive support for their first attempts at skiing. The ski school's mascot "Snowy" also supports the children in their first turns.
