In winter 2021, the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships that will take place in Cortina d’Ampezzo and to link this prestigious international event with the improvement of the entire "white" infrastructure system in Italy, the Institute for Sports Credit and the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) announced an agreement. This important initiative comprises measures and financial instruments that will contribute to ensuring the qualitative and quantitative growth of the snow sport sector, with clear benefits for the territory economies and winter sports enthusiasts.

The commitment will provide particularly favourable rates dedicated to Italian companies and consortiums or concession holders of Italian ski lifts or ski schools, making it possible to upgrade the ski-lifts and artificial snow-making systems, purchase equipment for the maintenance of the ski slopes, acquire infrastructures and improve the ski areas.

"It is a historic date for the world of winter sports", commented FISI President Flavio Roda, "I think of over 1,200 companies and ski schools affiliated with FISI, which will now have the opportunity to obtain support to modernise, improve or create new sports facilities that will only bring even more fans to the practice of snow sports. I thank the Institute for the Sport Credit and President Abodi for the foresight shown in the drafting of the convention."

"I am convinced that this Convention, for which we thank FISI and President Roda for the decisive contribution of content”, commented the President of Credito Sportivo, Andrea Abodi, “will produce a strong acceleration to the development of infrastructures dedicated to winter sports and to the tourist locations that host them. At the same time, we think we can achieve the further goal of enhancing and setting up Cortina d'Ampezzo for the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships in 2021, sharing the value and potential for development connected to this opportunity with the ski areas of our country."
