Smith Launches Code Helmet With MIPS & Squad XL Goggles

Blending skate-style with snow-focused features, the new Code helmet from Smith is designed with a minimalist lifestyle aesthetic without sacrificing features. The Code integrates top proprietary technologies and partner innovations like Aerocore construction featuring Koroyd, MIPS impact protection liners, the new Wayfinder strap system, featuring Fidlock and the Boa 360 Fit System to deliver maximum assurance in a clean silhouette.

The low profile in-mold constructed shell incorporates Aerocore zonal impact protection through the combined use of EPS foam with Koroyd materials for a lightweight, but protected fit.  Smith maintains its commitment to ultimate integration and focuses on exceeding the current global standards of protection by elevating the Code’s technical features - while maintaining its clean look - to address the growing needs of safety, impact protection and durability among avid riders.

The new proprietary Wayfinder strap system, featuring Fidlock, offers easy-to-use adjustability for getting your helmet on and off.  Through the use of a magnetic closure that can be adjusted with one hand, even while wearing gloves, the Wayfinder strap system provides an intuitive connection for easy closure. The adjustment system also eliminates any leftover webbing when tightening the strap.

To customise wearability, the Code also offers a removable beanie-like anti-microbial technical knit liner with climate control panels that integrates the recessed Boa FS360 fit system with a 360° halo design for a clean look and improved fit across a wider audience.

All colourways also feature MIPS liners to address multi-rotational impacts, which have been uniquely laser cut in key climate zones to allow airflow through the material while maintaining the ventilated integrity of Koroyd.

With the addition of AirEvac2 ventilation for superior goggle integration and featuring 6 vents, the Code provides a complete airflow solution for advanced riders.

Team the Code helmet with Smith’s largest cylindrical goggle in the range – the new Squad XL.  The massive cylindrical lens is made from molded carbonic-x material for durability, but still has Fog-X technology and ChromaPop lens innovation for crystal clear vision.  The over-sized semi-rimless frame is matched with a new, larger strap, complete with a fully integrated strap connection point that delivers functionality without extra moving parts.

The new Smith Code helmet and Squad XL goggles are available now from specialist retailers and online
