Saastal Bergbahnen look back on a successful year

The financial stability of Saastal Bergbahnen was once again confirmed in the past fiscal year, with an annual profit in the millions reported. After a rather difficult summer in 2024, marked by severe weather, the winter reached record figures with around 550,000 first-time visitors and excellent winter sports conditions. With the new vehicles for the Metro Alpin funicular, as well as the modernization of the machinery and snowmaking systems, the 2024/25 fiscal year was once again characterized by very high investments.
In the 2024/25 fiscal year, annual revenue of CHF 30.33 million and EBITDA of CHF 10.63 million were achieved. The EBITDA margin was 35%, and cash flow amounted to CHF 9.91 million. Ultimately, an annual profit of CHF 2.76 million was achieved, with an equity ratio of 54%. "This record-breaking winter demonstrates the quality and reputation of our winter sports resort, as well as the competitive advantages offered by reliable snow combined with snow expertise. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all employees for their hard work," said Prof. Dr. Peter Schröcksnadel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saastal Bergbahnen AG.
"With the inauguration of the new Hannigbahn cable car and the replacement of the two Metro Alpin vehicles, the past fiscal year was once again marked by highlights. Thanks to the continuous development of products, such as the new interactive toboggan run on the Hannig and the Morenia Fun Park, the investments were directly noticeable and tangible for our guests," summarizes Simon Bumann, CEO of Saastal Bergbahnen.
At CHF 13.5 million, the 2024/25 financial year saw very high investment activity overall.
The intensive development activities will continue in the future. "With the new mountain carts and the completion of the comprehensive experience on the Hannig, as well as the introduction of the innovative virtual experience "VirtuAllalin" at 3,500 meters, the Saastal Bergbahnen and the entire Saas-Fee/Saas Valley destination are ideally positioned to establish themselves as a top mountain destination both nationally and internationally," summarizes Simon Bumann
