Rossignol Arcade, Sender Franchises Earn Wide Media Praise, Including ‘Best In Test’ And ‘Editor’s Choice’

Rossignol,  manufacturer of winter sports equipment for 117 years, won a slate of awards and accolades this season for its new Arcade collection of all-mountain skis. Testers and media reviewers  from SKI to Freeskier lauded the Arcade collection’s versatility on both groomed slopes and off-piste.

Rossignol also earned praise for its new Sender Free 100, a freeride-oriented ski that builds on the award-winning Sender Free 110, the ski that Rossignol Athlete Marcus Goguen used to win last year’s Freeride World Tour.

The Arcade 94, which is the widest ski in the new Arcade collection, won Best in Test in SKI Magazine’s women’s All-Mountain test and Editor’s Pick from Freeskier. Testers from SKI Magazine called it "…a freight train of fun,” "a carving machine that will destroy groomers and crud,” and “a rocket ship that will dance off trail.” Freeskier called it “…just plain fun.”

SKI’s testers also lauded the Arcade 88, saying "… (if you) want to ski all over the mountain and never worry about your skis, these are for you” and "this ski made me feel like a better skier."

The Arcade Collection includes six men’s skis and six women’s skis ranging from 94mm to 78mm waists, spanning a range of price points.

“Rossignol’s vision for Arcade was to build skis for the snow that skiers will find, not the snow they expect to find, and that speaks to this collection’s versatility across a really wide range of conditions,” said Jake Stevens, Alpine Product Director for Rossignol North America. “It’s fantastic to get confirmation that we delivered on that vision thanks to such positive comments from the media test process.”

Meanwhile, in the freeride category, Rossignol introduced the Sender Free 100, a more everyday ski contrasting to the popular and wider Sender Free 110, introduced for Winter 2024.

The Sender Free 100 earned positive reviews from Powder Magazine, Newschoolers, Freeskier, Blister Gear Review,  Forecast, and SKI Magazine, among others.

“In a world of skis that often cater to very specific types of skiers, I’m actually pretty hard-pressed to think of a skier who wouldn’t enjoy the Rossignol Sender Free 100 …,” Powder wrote. Forecast called the Sender Free 100 “fun and effortless from the very first turn … another ripper from Rossignol!” and Freeskier said it delivers “a uniquely playful experience that prioritizes flow and creativity.”

“Over the last few years, we’ve redesigned and updated every aspect of the Rossignol ski collection, and adding this new Arcade all-mountain collection for the skier that prioritizes versatility really caps that effort with a bang,” said  Stevens, . “Top to bottom, from all-mountain to race, carving to freeride, we’ve worked hard to put the fun in skiing by making skis that are both higher performing and easier to ski than ever before.”
