Protect Our Winters’ Launches “Outdoor State Of Mind” Series

Is it suburban women, Obama-Trump voters in the Rust Belt, or is the most powerful swing voting group actually the 34 million eligible voters who recreate outdoors. Protect Our Winters (POW) is mobilizing the “Outdoor State,” made up of the millions people nationwide, who identify as outdoor sports enthusiasts to be a collective force at the polls in November 2020. This is a community that can not be defined by borders, but united by a natural playground – and with climate change threatening the great escapes, this is their time to take a stand.

POW logo resizedOn the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, April 22 at 7pm EST/4pm PST, POW Founder and President Jeremy Jones and climber Tommy Caldwell, will host a digital event to share their plans to take a stand for the outdoors in 2020 and kicking off  POW’s “Outdoor State of Mind” series. The Earth Day event will be the first weekly online conversation with POW Alliance members including scientists, Oscar-winning directors, Olympic medalists, founders of biggest names in outdoor gear, and so many more through the month of May.

While climate change can’t be tackled alone, it can be solved with a powerful community of passionate people ready to take a stand for their natural playgrounds. “Outdoor State of Mind” events can be joined with a pledge to vote by texting OUTDOOR STATE to 65351 or clicking here.
