Poma And Mussoorie Sky Car Company Private Limited Sign Agreement For Landmark Valley Lift In India To Open In 2026.

Poma And Mussoorie Sky Car Company Private Limited have signed an agreement for the project of a landmark valley lift in India to open in 2026.
Mussoorie is at 2000 meters altitude 200km North of New Delhi in the Himalayan mountains. A monocable detachable gondola system will connect this very popular touristic destination from Dehradun city in a 15 minutes aerial. With a length of 5,2km and 1000 meters elevation, it will be the longest of its kind in South Asia, and among the longest in the world. Such project will enhance Mussoorie hill station’s accessibility and will boost its attractiveness. At the same time it will be used as a public transportation mean by regular commuters with a dedicated rate, reducing road traffic and air pollution.
Construction is already in progress on site. The foundational anchorage structures, manufactured by POMA, have arrived on-site following the completion of all industrial and administrative prerequisites.
Present in India since the 1990’s with a first international standard cable car implemented in Gulmarg ski resorts, POMA innovates and brings it know-how and expertise to Indian ropeway market since then. For this new important project in India, POMA serves as the technical partner, shareholder, and strategic supplier for Mussoorie Sky Car Company Pvt. Ltd., the project’s development entity.
This venture is a key part of POMA’s long-term commitment to expanding ropeway infrastructure in India, in collaboration with prominent partners such as FIL Industries Private Limited and SRM Engineering LLP.
