Patagonia Premiers New Film

Patagonia launched a new film titled Mind Over Mountain. The film premiered on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 8 AM PDT on YouTube.
Directed by Nick Waggoner, Mind Over Mountain follows Canadian snow sliders Leah Evans, Marie-France Roy and Madeleine Martin-Preney as they take on the infamous 85-mile, 30,000-foot-vertical Bugaboos to Rogers ski traverse.

This iconic Canadian ski route is known for shaky spring conditions and is a true test of confidence and stamina. It also breaks the rule to never ski out in the dark. But the human conditions are as good as they get, and the film reminds us that snow travel is as much about being in the mountains as it is about spending time with friends.

In Leah Evan’s words, “the Bugs to Rogers ski traverse is something I’ve daydreamed about for years. In local ski culture, it has become somewhat of a rite of passage for people wanting to expand their mountain skills or test themselves to see if they have what it takes to join the ranks of the big-mountain elite.”
