OSV And Wintersteiger: Partnership Extended Again
The Austrian Ski Association and Wintersteiger AG have been in partnership for more than 20 years. Wintersteiger has been the exclusive machine supplier to the ÖSV since 1998. Now Prof. Peter Schröcksnadel insisted on extending the contract with Wintersteiger for another five years as one of his last official acts as ÖSV president.
This time the contract was extended prematurely. The reason for this is the new Jupiter ski service facility, which will be used in preparation for the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. The team around ÖSV sports director Toni Giger was impressed by the first test cuts and Jupiter will prepare the athletes' equipment from autumn.
Peter Schröcksnadel explains with regard to the new Jupiter: “The precise technology of a service machine is very important: How well is the ski prepared, how clean is the running surface? In the past we have always given input for the machines and the cooperation with Wintersteiger is part of our success - thank you very much for that! ”Wintersteiger deals intensively with the subject of racing service and has built up an internal team for this. The employees are available as a contact point for racing departments: The know-how is bundled in the machines in order to deliver the best possible tool.
Addition: clean air when training indoors.
In addition to ski service machines and boot fitting solutions from the Wintersteiger brands Bootdoc and Hotronic, the Cubusan air disinfection devices from the Drytech product range were included in the contract. "Equipped with the highly innovative equipment, the ÖSV athletes and their coaches will in future train in permanently cleaned air indoors," reports Daniel Steininger, General Manager Sports Division at Wintersteiger. The Cubusan also creates security in the meeting rooms. It works with plasma technology and removes 99.9% of viruses and bacteria from the air and also on the surfaces. The compact cube will also accompany the ÖSV teams on their travels: As a practical plug & play product, it can be used very easily anywhere.
