With 284 kilometres of slopes, all freshly prepared each day, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental is not just one of the largest and most modern ski resorts in the world – it can also offer an incredible range of activities! Wow! So much skiing fun to be had – signposted SkiWelt Tour

Discover one of the world’s largest and most modern ski resorts on the signposted SkiWelt Tour. This can be followed clockwise (green markings) or anticlockwise (orange markings). Skiers can get on or off at any point in SkiWelt and can of course also extend their SkiWelt Tour with various downhill runs. And, speaking of the wide range of pistes, SkiWelt contains no fewer than 21 downhill runs – more than any other ski area, so skiers can (if they so choose) plan routes each day that never use the same SkiWelt lift or piste twice.

Wow! So much fun hiking in the mountains – the SkiWelt Winter Hiking Pass

Valid for almost the entire SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, the Winter Hiking Pass is an offer for all the family. The pass is available for 3-6 days, offering winter hikers and strollers the choice of 12 panoramic cable cars – an ideal way to enjoy the enchanting winter landscape in the mountains with the family, exploring the numerous winter hiking trails in SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental and savouring genuine local delicacies at the many family-run mountain restaurants and huts. The Winter Hiking Pass is available from 7 December 2019 to 13 April 2020: it is valid on all lifts up to SkiWelt (except KiWest) and includes two ascents and descents a day (only for walkers without ski equipment!).

Wow! So early out on the slopes – early bird offers in Brixen im Thale and Westendorf

SkiWelt offers morning fun on the slopes for early risers: every Thursday from 30 January, selected pistes in the SkiWelt Brixen im Thale and SkiWelt Westendorf areas have early bird offers, with 22 kilometres of freshly groomed slopes for skiers to enjoy with the rising sun. The SkiWeltbahn, Sonnenlift, Choralmbahn, Alpenrosenbahn 1 & 2 and the Talkaserlift all start running from 7.30 a.m.

Wednesdays to Fridays

Wow! So exciting – snow groomer tours for a unique experience

Enjoy a tour of SkiWelt Söll on a nine-tonne, 500 hp snow groomer. Tours are available from Wednesday to Friday from around the beginning of January to 14 March 2020. Participants meet at the middle station of SkiWelt Söll in front of the “Hexentopf” witch’s cauldron, at 3.45 p.m. until the end of January and at 4 p.m. from February on. Limited space means that reservations are absolutely necessary: call +43(0)5333 5260 4444 to book. The tour is followed by the chance of a stop for refreshments, then descent by gondola from 6.30 pm. There is also the option of taking a toboggan (not included in price) down on the illuminated “Hexenritt” toboggan run.

There are demonstrations of snow groomers (ride not included) on Tuesdays in the SkiWelt Brixen (meet at 10 a.m. at the top station of the Hochbrixen gondola) and SkiWelt Söll (meet at 2.30 p.m. at the witch’s cauldron) as well as on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in SkiWelt Scheffau (meet at 11 a.m. at the Südhang top station).

Wow! So friendly for ski tourers – ski tourer evening in SkiWelt Ellmau

There is a special adventure for all ski tourers in SkiWelt Ellmau every Thursday evening from 26 December 2019 to 5 March 2020 (11 dates in total). The downhill run is open to tourers until 10 p.m., with the pistes then completely closed off for preparation with a winch. As a special treat, the Kaiserlounge at the top station of the Hartkaiserbahn will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., offering refreshments to ski tourers following their exertions.

Wow! So exciting – a peek behind the scenes at SkiWelt

The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental has two great offers for all those interested in technology and for those who have always wanted to take a peek behind the scenes of a ski resort. There are guided tours of the SkiWelt Scheffau “snow factory” every Tuesday at 10 a.m. The meeting point is at the snow factory (on the left where Eiberg Berg connects to Aualm no. 71a). Those interested can take a look behind the scenes of the snow-making operations every Thursday at SkiWelt Söll, where visitors are introduced to the world of snow-making and can view the snow cannons. Meet at 2.30 p.m. at the “Hexentopf” witch’s cauldron at the middle station.

Wow! So magical – Ellmi´s Magical Mountain Advent in SkiWelt Ellmau

This winter too sees Ellmi’s Magic World open its doors during the Advent season, from 4.30 to 10 p.m. on 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 December 2019. Located at an altitude of 1,555 metres, Europe’s highest Christmas party area links seven stations as a leisurely hiking tour around the Bergkaiser panoramic restaurant in SkiWelt Ellmau. Visitors will be enchanted by the winter trail through the deep snowy forest – they can then restore their strength at the traditional stands offering Christmas biscuits, baked apples, hot chestnuts and homemade punch or mulled wine. You can also dine until 9.30 p.m. by the warm tiled stove at the Bergkaiser panoramic restaurant. All season tickets for SkiWelt, the Tirol Snow Card and Super Ski Card are valid on Friday evenings.

Söll Ski and Rock

During the day there are piste safaris, “back-to-ski” courses and live music at the huts of SkiWelt Söll, while in the evenings the centre is host to DJs and rock concerts: the first “Söll Ski and Rock” festival from 15 to 18 January 2020 in Söll am Wilden Kaiser is sure to delight both winter sports and music fans alike. The organisers of “Söll Ski and Rock” aim to offer guests an additional live music experience in the village following a perfect day out on the slopes and après-ski fun in the mountain huts. Highlights include British rock bands “The Academic” and “The Blizzards” – admission free. Local musicians such as “Gordon and the Bravehearts” will also be rocking the stage.

Après-ski in the SkiWelt huts – snow, music and plenty of fun

Every year, ski fans look forward to the après-ski weeks here: unbeatable spring offers are to be had, with attractively priced packages and a party atmosphere up at the huts of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental.
