New Trails Created For (E-)Mountain Bikers In Paznaun, Galtur

An innovative e-bike riding center with measuring stations for analyzing riding technique, a new bike trail park in Galtür and two new trails in the Silvretta Bike Arena Ischgl/Samnaun - Paznaun is starting the summer of 2024 with exciting news for mountain bikers.

From summer onwards, (e-)mountain bikers in Paznaun will be able to use the prototype of the new E-Bike Riding Center to gain their first insight into how their own riding skills are analyzed on an innovative riding course using the latest technologies. They will also visit the new “Silva Trails” bike trail park in Galtür with the whole family or explore two new trails in the completely renovated Silvretta Bike Arena Ischgl/Samnaun.

World first: E-Bike Riding Center

How safe am I actually on the e-bike? How do I cleverly avoid obstacles on trails? Or, how can I optimally drive in steep mountain terrain? The E-Bike World Association (EBWF) and the Paznaun – Ischgl bike region are answering these and other open questions with the innovative E-Bike Riding Center in Ischgl. Here, driving skills are measured and analyzed using state-of-the-art technologies. The construction of the globally unique driving course will take place gradually from 2024 until 2026. A prototype of the project will be built in Ischgl, on the terrace of the Silvretta Therme (ice skating rink), in the summer of 2024, which will provide initial insights into the innovation. The E-Bike Riding Center is operated by Bründl Sports in close cooperation with the Silvretta Therme. Info: www.ischgl.ebikeridingcenter.com

New bike trail park “Silva Trails” in Galtür

It's not just families and beginners who will be in good hands in the new Silva Trails trail park in Galtür from summer 2024. The heart of the new park is a 6.67 kilometer long trail with flowing curves and some north shore elements, which leads from the Alpkogelbahn mountain station to the valley station in the difficulty range S0 to S2. Another 1.4 kilometer long trail with difficulty levels S0 to S3 starts from the mountain station with the destination Faulbrunn Alm. A practice area with elements in difficulty levels S0 to S3 and an 800 m² pump track serve as preparation. Three more trails are already being planned. Info: www.galtuer.com

Two new trails for the Silvretta Bike Arena Ischgl/Samnaun

Ischgl and Samnaun rely on natural trails. In summer they unite to form the new Silvretta Bike Arena Ischgl/Samnaun, expand their bike areas and offer ambitious bike cracks ideal conditions to reach their own limits on challenging trail rides across the border. Nestled in the high mountain world of the Silvretta Group, eleven trails with a total length of 88.8 kilometers await you in the varied alpine terrain across all difficulty levels. New among them: the 16.3 kilometer long Vesil Trail over 1,330 meters in depth and the 12.8 kilometer long Fimba Trail, which takes riders up to 2,872 meters around the Greitspitze. Both are in the red difficulty range S2 to S3. Good to know: The region around Ischgl is one of the largest and most varied bike arenas in the Alps. Further trails are already being planned for summer 2025.
