Maier Sports Launches Spring Summer 2024 Collection

Leading outdoor specialist, Maier Sports, is focusing on two of the key USP’s for its 2024 Spring Summer collection.

  • Spring Summer 2024 collection ready to launch for Outdoor Trade Show (June 13-15), Liverpool
  • Circle for the Future programme creating fully sustainable clothing expanded within 2024 collection
  • Fully PFC Free, 5 year product guarantee’s and Fair Wear Foundation completes environmentally friendly credentials
  • With 61 sizes available, Maier Sports leads the way when it comes to body size diversity in the outdoor industry

Whilst sustainability has always been at the forefront of the company’s raison d'être since its 1938 beginnings, when Imanuel Maier founded a tailor shop in the German town of Köngen, today, Maier Sports continues to be a leader when it comes to eco-friendly initiatives, always led by its actions first.

The Circle for the Future programme is 100% sustainable, closed loop concept called design2recycle–recycle2design (D2R–R2D). Products can be recycled at the end of their lives and upcycled into high-value items. It’s a fully circular model for pants, jackets and t-shirts that will see old Maier Sports products reincarnated as new ones. An NFC chip in each garment easily identifies the fabric composition for easy, effective and efficient recycling.

Marketing Director of Maier Sports, Stefan Taft, said: “This season we’re especially proud of our sustainable products: our METOR REC jackets, the best-selling jackets in our range, are now made from 100% recycled polyester yarn. Meanwhile, our LATIT pants are among our most environmentally friendly pants ever, made from 88% recycled materials. Like many of the items in our spring/summer 2024 collection, we’ve designed LATIT and METOR REC with a focus on closing our company’s recycling loop. These products can be recycled in full, and the fabrics recovered can then be used in future collections to help conserve resources. We’re among the first in the outdoor clothing industry to take this step. By doing so, we’re strengthening our position as a sustainable outdoor clothing brand and ensuring we’re closely aligned with our customers’ needs and values”.

Size to fit all

With 61 sizes available, Maier Sports demonstrates that diversity in body shapes and sizes is at the forefront of its drive to become totally inclusive when it comes to outdoor activities. Within these 61 sizes, there are three leg lengths, short, regular and long, producing what is as close to a tailored fit as you can find for off the shelf clothing.
