Les Gets Ready For 2020-21 season

Les Gets is ready for winter with a number of new developments and attractions for visitors this season.

More general information regarding Covid-19 operations for this winter are now available on this web page: www.lesgets.com/en/covid-19/

New for this winter

New Alta Lumina Park

The headline story is the opening of the Alta Lumina Park, which although officially launched this summer, will really come into its own during the darker, winter months. The one kilometre trail through the forest immerses visitors in an enchanted world of light and imagery.

This major project is the result of almost a year of work in collaboration with the teams of Moment Factory, the producer and designer of the experience. Present in ten destinations around the world, the Canadian company continues to develop its concept in Europe; Les Gets is their latest creation.

ALTA LUMINA is aimed at audiences of all ages and will operate year-round, thus being part of the station’s 4-season diversification strategy. It’s the 12th experience in an award-winning series from the designers. Each Lumina night experience is designed specifically for a destination, making each one completely unique to the areas DNA.

Prices: from 10 € (5 to 15 years of age) to 19 € (from age 16 years and above) for the self-guided experience that lasts from 45 minutes to an hour.

New Winter Glamping Option

A brand new accommodation setting, Chery Dôme, has launched high above Les Gets in the hamlet of La Sarre. The concept brings guests much closer to nature and the outdoor environment. The ‘domes’ sleep between 2 and 4 people and include WiFi, toilet, electricity and a wood burning stove. This is glamping literally taken to new heights.

New Berthet Concept Store

Enjoy a coffee while renting skis.

This winter, the famous Les Gets snow front address will feature a new concept store, the Velvette, with over 600m2 devoted to sport, home styling and food. The Berthet family will continue to sell and rent ski and mountain equipment and clothing.

Sarah Mugnier will take over the other part of the store. An architect by trade, and a keen gastronome, she wanted to combine her two passions in a single space. And so the idea of Le Velvette (velvet with a French accent) was born, where you can eat and browse at the same time, in an urban and contemporary setting, with a touch of ‘mountain chic’, thrown in. Customers can have a coffee before heading out on the slopes, have brunch, have dinner or even enjoy a cosy après-ski with their family, after returning their equipment.

A children's corner with games will be available so everyone can enjoy the experience. The carefully thought-out layout of the dining area will highlight the decorative aspects of the open kitchen, the wood-fired pizza oven and the central dessert buffet, all homemade.
